Kris Jenkins is a no-show for Panthers camp

Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kris Jenkins was not on the field Wednesday morning as the Panthers began voluntary offseason workouts.

Jenkins had been on the trading block prior to the NFL draft, but the Panthers could not strike a deal. An agent for another Panthers defensive lineman said recently that he believes Jenkins remains on the trading block.

Breaking news! Jenkins wants a new contract.

Evidently he ate the old one.

Of course while he wants more money, he's passing on the $175,000 in his current contract to show up for this voluntary mini-camp. I sure wish I could piss away $175,000, but alas I'm only a footballguy and can only afford to flush $100,000.
