When Westbrook goes down for good, is McCoy the long term replacement for him? Can he be the next Westbrook? I didn't see the game yesterday, but the numbers looked pretty good for him.

He looked very good. However, he was playing the Chiefs, so you may want to see him against a better team.

Signed - Chiefs fan and season ticket holder

Had a couple of runs where he was one defender away from breaking a long one.

Also had a few "runs" where he went nowhere.

Looks like he was making a few good cuts though which was extra impressive with the field conditions.

Tough to tell at this point as they were playing the Chefs and Eagles still working out the O Line.

BUT, need to be careful with expectations for TDs as there may be #x? redzone wildcat plays for Vick/DeSean/Etc.

I know this may be the wrong forum, but what does everyone think about his prospectus in a keeper league?

I bought him for $10 this year in a $200 league and have a chance to keep him 3 additional years ($12 next year, $15 year 2, $19 year 3).

How much longer do you think Westbrook will be around? I think by the end of next year and def. 2011 McCoy should be the full-time starter.

I'd be all over that. Clear heir apparent to a gimpy 30 yr old RB. Enough talent to be productive on a team that should stay in the upper echelon.

:goodposting: The NFL is a what have you done for me lately league. If Westbrook has an injury plagued year, the Eagles might just cut him and absorb the cap hit.

From his days at the University of Pittsburgh, I can tell you that he's a versatile back with decent speed and vision. He is pretty good in space and reasonably good at setting up his blocking. He will need to learn how to take what is available at the NFL level instead of always trying to make the big play. His talent produced more boom than bust by trying to break long runs most of the time, but in the NFL that same approach will lead to a lot of no gain and negative yardage plays. Experience will help him make better decisions in that area. He had a major knee injury in high school but showed good durability in his two collegiate seasons.I think he is a pretty good fit for the Eagles offense. He's not a Westbrook clone but his skill set is closer to BW than others.

I think you won't be able to get him in dynasty at a decent price for much longer. The guy has great quickness like Westbrook, to me it looks like he has the frame to fill out a little more, and is getting to learn from Westy too...he will be coming at a premium soon once everyone realizes he will be taking over his role eventually.
