As an LT owner in at least one league over the past 4 years, I have to agree with the above statement - he's slow out of the gate every year.I wouldnt hit the panic button just yet...
I realize Tomlinson is still getting into game form after sitting out the preseason, like always... but he looked pretty sloppy on Sunday.
For instance... there was that play where he ran full speed into the back of his lineman... he then recovered to gain 18 or so yards... but after he bounced it out, he lost his footing w/ out getting hit... he simply tripped over his feet.
The same sort of thing looked like it happened on that play he says he hurt his toe on... I'm wondering if he didn't hurt his toe on the trip rather than when the guy fell around his lower leg area after he hit the ground. I have to look at the play again... but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to being a little nervous about Tomlinson hitting the wall this year.
LT has had slow starts over the past few year but it wasn't due to injuries. He's been as durable as they get but seem like he's the injuries are starting to come on.
I'd like to know if you are handcuffing LT with Sproles and if you think Sproles can be a decent back up to LT. Sproles played well in pre-season but that's pre-season. He's only 5'-8" or so and 180# so durability is a question. I'm contemplating whether to get him in WW.
the toe worries me. i handcuffed with sproles just in case. i'd like to see a big game out of him this week...and he has the perfect team to do it against.
Do you?Not buying that LT is a big injury risk or if he went out that Sproles would be much of anything. Course if you have some schlep at RB4 anyway "why not" does come to mind, but regarding smaller rosters/leagues, nah
