Lance Briggs' Lambo found abandoned at scene of accident (1 Viewer)

Hmm... 3:30 am :banned:
They should try Briggs at RB, this kind of elusiveness is rare.
4.5 stars
I can't believe that the wheelhouse. alias' suspension is up in December and now it's not worth anything. ;) Congrats on making the team.
Thanks Kirby. I didn't know that there was a wheelhouse. <--- dot alias to begin with?
Sort of like the bye weeks for your TEs.

Police confirmed Monday that the $350,000 vehicle belongs to Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, but officials said they do not know who was driving the car at the time of the wreck.
It was being driven by Stefan Eriksson.Briggs has a rock solid alibi - he was sleeping in David Boston's car at the time.

It was from your famous thread... I posted April Fools and tricked most of the people for a few pages. It was banned pretty quickly.

I'm sure he was DUId... but can always say he walked to get help a la his cell phone battery died.

End of story. Not a crime to plainly crash a car, unless you damage someone else's property and make no attempt to notify the owner and leave the scene, but levaing the $300K+ car shouldn't constitute a 'hit/run'. Only thing I can think of ...is wreckless driving can be proven.

35% chance it was stolen.65% chance he abandoned it to avoid getting a DUI.
If he reports it stolen before the police contact him, it's more like 95% DUI.
I would put money that he was drunk andd told to just leave the car. They can't prove he was driving drunk if he leaves. But if he stayed he would be screwed.
Michael Waltrip did the same thing down here earlier this year. Rolled his truck and left it to walk home. Still got charged with reckless driving, but that's better than a DUI.

Chicago guys, Is this a tollway? Would he have had to pass by cameras to get into or out of the area?

If this was a plan concocted late at night in a drunk induced state it will fall apart. There are likely to be cameras, receipts, and phone records that will do him in. Picture Briggs denying any involvement but minutes before having gone past a toll plaza or bank in the area that has photographs of him driving. Next picture his cell phone records showing he placed a call that was routed through a cell tower only 1 block away at the time of the crash.

The story will drip out eventually.

I am sure Goodell loved to see this headline go across his desk this morning. I smell a 4 game suspension down the road for Mr. Briggs-

For what? For leaving the scene of an accident where no one was hurt? You can't suspend people because you think there was something else involved... need SOME more factual evidence than that. Briggs probably did the smart thing as far as he was concerned as it will be nearly impossible to prove he was indeed DUI

Is he practicing today? Any physical indications he may have been in a crash?
(Rotoworld) Lance Briggs was at practice Monday, a day after a Lamborghini registered in his name was found crashed along the highway in Illinois.Impact: Police say the investigation is ongoing, but they are no longer searching for Briggs. The car hit a guardrail. There were no witnesses to the crash.

Stupid guardrails, jumping out in front of cars like that!

First off- I was being sarcastic. However, to your point. Goodell can suspend a player for a just about anything. BTW, leaving the scene of an accident is a crime. You think the car was stolen? Maybe one of his boys drove it into the poll. But I would wager that Briggs was driving the car. If that is the case he could be in some trouble and Goodell is not taking any cr@@.
