Will Lance Moore remain a stud and put up nice FF numbers for years to come or is he a sell high one year fling like D. henderson? what kind of numbers do you think he will put up this year?

I lean towards the 1 year fling side, and also think Lance Moore and STUD do not belong in the same sentence, at least not now, unless your definition of STUD is a lot less then mine

Kind of a dumb poll. Is everyone either a stud or a bust? I think you need to purchase the Fantasy Football Dictionary to get an idea what these terms mean.

I think he's a good player who can be a like a mini-Wes Welker type of guy. But I wouldn't say he's a stud. See, Larry Fitzgerald is a stud. Calvin Johnson is a stud. Lance Moore might be a serviceable 3 or even 2. But he's not a stud. Nor a bust.

Agreed. He was the right guy, in the right place, at the tight time. But not what I'd call a stud.

In the spirit of the poll, I'm assuming the OP was just a little too generic in asking if this guy is for real or not.

At the end of '07 he had a few games that he looked really good. Then, as soon as the next opportunity arose he took advantage of it and earned himself a starting spot. Shockey hasn't been much of a producer for a while, Colston nor Bush are pictures of health, and Moore has earned Brees' trust in a big way. He may not be the 1st option on most plays, but when the 1st option is taken away, Moore is the woobie. I think he hovers around 900 yards and 6 TDs for several years. Stud? No. But he is a long way from a bust, and can be an O.K. #3 or a top #4 FFB WR. I had trouble deciding whether to start him or Hines Ward quite a few times last year. Moore comes a bit cheaper than Ward, so if you're looking to redraft, I'd prefer to target him. Dynasty, quite a bit higher.

Those are the only choices? How about he'll be good this year but be gone in 5 years?

Come on you guys think a little.

One year fling like D Hendeson? Devery Henderson has never ammassed 800 yards. :coffee:

Twice he had 740 yards so it would be a 2 year fling.

Ok first off only 4 WR had more TD then Lance who had 10!!!! The guy had 1000 yards on 80 catches and was not in the picture at the begining of the year for the first two or three games, if he get 2 TD and 100 or more yards in those three games he would have produced more fantasy point than every WR other than Fitz and Andre. So I think it is safe to say last year he was a STUD, this year if he gets 80 to 100 catches he could be in the top 5 this year and we all know that Brees will be throwing the ball enough for everyone on the team to get 100 catches including the OL. LOL that was a Joke!!!!

He's got an injury to overcome

Any starter in Brees' offense should be good for FF.

If the Saints improve, he'll be a very effective slot WR NFLers love but FF folks wish got more catches

Even when Colston was healthy towards the end of last year, Lance Moore put up big numbers. And what solidifies a spot for him on my dynasty roster is the bonus points I get for his kick return yards.

Lance Moore needed Colstons injury to get playing time. He was on the roster because for two years on the practice squad and one season on the 53 man roster he caught everything. Moore may not be fast but he is a good route runner who has hands of glue. Not only was las year not a fluke, he will have better seasons before his career is over.

I have seen him play in person and on the field he looked fast as hell, not to many players that are slow return kicks!!!!

I doubt he'll be a stud if Colston/Shockey/Bush are healthy, but he will be "okay" IMO. Definitely not a dud, but I think he was a good sell high this offseason.

I believe you need another option as I project that he will be neither a stud nor a bust. A middle of the road type of WR, which is what should probably be expected. Somewhere along the lines of a Cotchery is his ceiling, IMO, but he may not even get to his level, slightly less.....

If you play 12 team (or more), 3 (or more) WR leagues he is a bona fide starter now. If only in 10 team, 2 WR leagues and especially non-PPR he is marginal depth and hardly rosterable. #13 WR in my leagues last year.

I doubt he will have that good of a year again. The Saints just have too many weapons on their offense. If Brees could manage to give Moore that many looks for another season, I'd be shocked. Plus, as someone stated earlier, he got a lot passes thrown to him last cause of injuries on the offense.

He isn't signed beyond this season, so saying that doesn't figure much into his Dynasty value as of now. I don't think he will ever be a so called stud and really have no idea what other teams may think of his game which is what will matter next year. I do own him in a 14 team ppr where I can start 4 wr's.

in our world of dealing with predicting/anticipating injuries for FF, can you sincerely say that those 3 won't be hurt at some point this year?

He is still going to put up numbers while in NO. While the Saints have Payton as a coach they will be putting up a lot of points.

Moore is a WR2/3 player in what ever league that you play in.
