Lance Moore sneaky start today? (1 Viewer)

Healthy, after the bye...big game at home..surprise the Giants?
Was thinking that myself.Payton loves to throw in a wrinkle, especially for big games. And he loves stashing players for just that right moment. But it has to fit the defense and the situation. Not saying this is or isn't, but it could happen.

Once in a while I like to switch it up and have some fun. Yeah it burns you half the time but the other half you look like a genius for a day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the game before the bye was 3 snaps played, 1 catch for 1 yard?

Huge Lance Moore fan, I think he will be relevant again...just not sure this is the week.

New Orleans reporter singled out Moore in his video blog saying he'd be involved this week in 3 WR sets and that Brees loved him and he's finally healthy now/been practicing well. May have to start him over Harvin anyway.

Note he only played 4 snaps in that game.I think Moore is a great add this week if he's on your waiver wire, but a very risky start until its clear he's fully healthy.

I agree, huge risk this game. If you have nothing, then start him and pray to FF gods. Otherwise, hold him. How anyone can predict him doing good without inside information is just luck....

I picked him up, hoping this is the week he breaks out. Stashing him on my bench for now. If he's finally healthy, he could be a factor.

I said this in another Moore thread, my WR situation is very bleak so I'm going to roll the dice. Quick throws will be necessary against that pass rush, and Brees has best utilized Moore in that role.I hope.

Good stash in deeper leagues. Guy is a terrific route runner and Brees trusts him more than Henderson (primary deep threat) and Meachem (talented guy who doesn't do the little things that could have made him great).

Not this week IMO, but worth keeping an eye on for sure.

I thought he would be a decent start twice this year already....got burned both times.

He is on my bench until he has at least one decent game.

Good call so far. Anyone know if he started the game over Henderson?
slotSaints haven't been using 3 WR sets much but 3WR set ideal against Giants DBrees throwing very very quickly likely to minimize Giants great DL.

Same here. Big kudos to saintfool, with some excellent analysis in the relevant Moore thread last week. :football:

Good point about the 3WR sets. Any insight on to what type of teams the Saints would be more likely to bust out the 3 WR sets against?
