Landmark - Your first hand experience? (1 Viewer)

Climbing up the Walls
I've read quite a bit about this program many years ago, but never considered it seriously after reading about the pressure to invite friends and family into the fold. I try to have an open mind when it comes to self empowerment and making this existence a bit easier for everyone. A friend who I trust highly spoke very highly of it. When I mentioned the fear of being badgered about getting my 'network' to come attend, he said just tune out the noise, and get what you can for yourself, and that the core teachings are worth it.

That being said, much of what I've read from people who have gone to these conferences paints a picture that sounds very cultish. I want no part of self-help multi level marketing.

Any FBG's attend these in the past? If so, care to share your experience? Positive overall? Would you recommend it to others?

Was invited by a friend not knowing what it was, struck me as a Scientology/Multi-Level Marketing spin-off.

The introduction I witnessed involved a pie chart of types of “Knowledge:” that which you know you know, that you know you don’t know (but need to), knowledge you don’t know you need to know and other knowledge.

I was told that Landmark would help me open pathways to this knowledge...I think? I asked several people after the pitch/intro and not one of them could really provide me anything that seemed even slightly substantive.

Not to go grammar police, but "firsthand" should be one word as opposed to two.  "First hand experience" sounds like something Joe would frown upon discussing here.
