What are people doing with this guy?

Holding out hope that KC can get things turned around or cutting bait? Is he someone you could just drop outright?

I imagine shallow league owners are forced to keep him on their roster.

LJ had a great 2-3 year run..but it is over.

His production really shouldn't come as a surprise. The Chiefs have a brutal schedule and things don't lighten up until late in the season. He is going to kill your FF season if you continue to use him as a starter.

Drafted him in a weird 8 team 2QB for some reason. Dropped him last week when someone dropped Pierre Thomas (!)

Cassell missed a lot of time and the line sucks. You have to expect both to gradually improve. The matchups will also get better. There arent many RBs who are good starts against Baltimore and Philly.

Larry is actually running very well but the opponents are winning at the line of scimmage.

:goodposting: classic FF roster cancer. you cant drop him and you cant start him. hope to salvage value in the second half.

It's pretty hard to drop a RB who is averaging nearly 20 carries per game in this day and age. I think his production will certainly improve as the season goes on and he faces better matchups, as long as he continues to receive carries.

Personally, I don't feel confident starting him as my flex option as of right now, but I think he is clearly worth holding on to. I expect him to bounce back to some degree.

I think you have to hold him as a bye week replacement. He has a better chance of scoring points and possibly getting into the end zone as anyone you could find on the waiver wire. He could still turn it around and be a low end RB2 this year if the Chiefs can improve just a bit. But the chiefs are looking terrible right now. He was probably the 3rd or 4th back you drafted anyways so this isn't exactly a shock.

Here are the highlights from week 2:

http://www.nfl.com/videos/kansas-city-chie...nson-highlights

Outside of week 2, he has nothing of note. Even in those highlights, he looks slow and not elusive at all. The Raiders make everyone look at least competant.

He's being outclassed by Jamaal Charles in pretty much every way:

vs PHI:

Johnson: 19 carries, 38 yards, 2 ypc

Charles: 6 carries, 36 yards, 6 ypc

vs BAL:

Johnson: 11 carries, 20 yards, 1.8 ypc

Charles: 4 carries, 16 yards, 4 ypc

Charles is a better receiver, too. He has 4 recs in both games he's played. Charles didn't play in the OAK game.

Part of the reason is that KC's O-line is terrible. Charles is the kind of player that can thrive on elusiveness when the blocking is poor and is a good receiver, whereas Johnson is basically a product of the holes that open up directly in front of him.

Edit: Don't forget that KC's defense is terrible, so they're going not going to be running out the clock on a lot of leads this year.
