Las Vegas Draft Location Suggestions (1 Viewer)

A large group of us (14+) will be converging in Las Vegas for a draft to occur the afternoon of September 2nd. In previous years, we have held the draft in a cabana at the Bally's pool. We are looking for a new location to hold this years draft.

Does anyone have any venues or suggestions as to where we should hold this years draft? There happens to be a lot of boozing during the draft (duh!), so a bar would be a logical place. Trick is, I'm not sure which bar would be able/willing to put us up for the nearly 5 hour draft. The amount of money that we would spend on food/booze should be enticement enough. The draft can get pretty loud so we would probably need to be in a pretty loud place, and since there is so many of us, we'd need a room or a large table.

The ESPN SportsZone comes to mind, but we tried that one year and there didn't really seem to be a good place to set up camp.

Most of the league will be staying at the Mirage.

I'd appreciate the sharing of your previous experiences and suggestions.

Thanks!

1) You could use the VIP lounge at the Mirage

2) I think there are a few private rooms at the new Hooter's Casino, although I am not sure what your chance of booking one would be (but $ talks in Vegas)

3) Lots of the restaurants have private rooms and then you know you have access to food and drink without an extra cost for it

We hold our draft in Vegas every two years. 4 years ago we did it in BJ's bar which is sort of behind the MGM and across from Hooters. 2 years ago and this year we are renting a suite and holding it there. I've seen others having their draft in the Mandalay Bay sports book bar area one morning before it got too busy as it has lots of table space.

I've got a buddy who's one of the managers at Sapphire (70,000 square foot strip club). I'm sure he could get you guys a sweet setup there if you're interested.

My draft is in Vegas...We're renting a big house so draft location isn't an issue.
Never thought of that one...that is a pretty cool idea. How close is the house to the strip?
5 miles. It should be a great setup. The house has a pool and sweet rec room for us to hold our draft in.Here's a poor quality pic of the rec room:

Looks like a nice setup. Out of curiousity, how many rooms does the house have and what does it cost to rent?

The Aladdin hotel/casino shopping area has a sports pub. Can't remember the name but they have a side room that grops can use. We held a draft there last year with 9 members, it worked out great, we had good service, plenty to drink and the waitress was hot. Plus they didn't mind us being there for 5 hours.

Between the 12 of us we paid $92 each. We'll have the house for 2 nights. It's supposed to have 5 beds and 5 couches. That's not ideal, but we I don't think we'll have a full house either night and we didn't come to Vegas to sleep...
