My guess is is depends on Dukes as much as anything. If Duke can keep his mouth shut and his head straight, I expect he stays in CF all year. He has so much more talent, IMO.

The Nats have a crowded OF, so they might be trying to free up some PT for someone like Willingham to showcase him for a deal.

I project a month, but a lot depends on Milledge himself. If he handles this poorly and doesn't do well in the minors, he might be down there even longer

I agree w/ Statorama. This move is all about Milledge and nothing to do with Dukes or Kearns.

The length of the demotion depends on how Milledge responds to it, both on and off the field.
