Late-Round TE Strategy (1 Viewer)

This past weekend, we had our draft in my main league.  12-team PPR superflex keeper league (must keep 2 players for a 2-round "bump" from the previous year).  Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 SFlex, 1 Flex, 1 DST.  6 bench spots.

Between this being the first year of Superflex (which caused QB values to skyrocket - QB run began in the 3rd round) and me being out a couple of mid-round picks that I traded away last year for some stretch run re-enforcements, I opted to essentially punt on TE until the very end, grabbing Tyler Eifert and Darren Waller.  My thinking is that I could get some early-season production from Eifert (while he is healthy and AJ Green is out) while waiting for confirmation that the Waller hype is real, and pivoting to someone like Chris Herndon when his suspension is close to ending (not enough bench spots to hold him for 5 weeks).

Thing is, Dallas Goedert didn't get drafted.  So, now it has me wondering whether I should stick with the above strategy or go big and drop Eifert for Goedert, start Waller at first in hopes that the hype is real, and "live the stream" and plan to pivot to Herndon in a few weeks if neither of the two high-upside guys pan out.

Thanks in advance!

either way is good.   I'm high on Eifert but Goedert is better player but in a worse situation.   Refer to my 1st sentence.  sorry I couldn't be more help.

I would for sure drop Eifert for Goedert.  I think Goedert has stand alone value right from the get go and would have no problem starting him week 1.  I think the injuries have taken too big a toll on Eifert and he has nothing left.
