Late round WR targets (1 Viewer)

Looking for lightning in a bottle. I'm kinda up to speed on late round RBs lottery tickets. But looking for the same in WRs.

Thanks.

PS - if you are sitting on secret picks you can DM me so your competitors here don't see them. I am unaware of myself having competitors on this forum.

In the order I would take them:

Polk - opportunity
Baker - opportunity
Dortch - opportunity
XL - eye test, accent
Coker - Smitty seal of approval
Walker - go heels
McCaffrey - bloodline, opportunity

edit: who are the RBs? Is there a thread for them?

10th round and later I see a few nice players to throw darts at

Curtis Samuel (don't penalize him for Carolina and Washington's stupidity in underutilizing him) I took him in the 16th round of a best ball dynasty startup
Washington's #2 WR (not sure if this is Dotson or McCaffrey at this point) I took Dotson in the 12th round of a best ball dynasty startup...
Mingo (everyone has given up on him but I sure like his physical metrics and Young has to be better this year)
Michael Wilson (Harrison will be the primary focus on the defense)
Mooney (for reasons already said, Cousins will help, he'll be faster indoors, etc.) Got him in the 23rd round of a best ball dynasty startup...
Tim Patrick (I also really like him Renegade Roy) he looked really good before he got hurt. They don't have a ton at WR either) Got him in round 32 of a best ball dynasty startup....

I'll go by anybody after WR60 on Fantasy Pros consensus rankings

Dotson
Wicks
Douglas
Wilson
Polk
Legette
Baker
Pearsall
Hyatt
McMillan
Mccaffrey

Dallas is a very pass 1st offense, and Mike McCarthy is an expert at scheming up great matchups for his #1 WR. Brandin Cooks is a high-end WR2 if Lamb goes down in my opinion, and a useful WR4 otherwise. Basically no downside to drafting him where he's going, with lots of contingent upside.

Demarcus Robinson as a WR2 on his team, that is dirt cheap or free, for when / if Kupp gets hurt again..
I like Robinson as well. Robinson took over the WR 3 spot in week 13 last season. Over the last 5 games that he started Puka was WR5, Kupp was WR10 and Robinson was WR20. He's making a splash in camp this year also.

Also like Tolbert on the Cowboys and the rookie McMillan with Tampa, he's getting talked up every day in Tampa camp and has already passed Palmer by most accounts.

I think Lazard will be relevant again assuming Rodgers can stay healthy
Because they’re buddies? It can’t be because of Lazard. He’s years past news and it wasn’t that great then either.

Yes basically because they're buddies and with Wilson taking the top coverage that will open things up for him. After re-reading, he isn't going to be lightning in a bottle like OP might be looking for, but should easily outperform his ADP.

He was terrible last year. They've brought in Mike Williams and a rookie they love in Corley. Lazard probably doesn't crack 500 yards. Good luck guessing the day he goes "off" for 3/42/1.

Does Ridley count? maybe it's a homer pick bur he seems like someone that you could grab late but fill a wr3/flex spot.

I had him last year (in redraft), I think he's prob fine as a late pick but I'm not big on the Saints O

and tbh, I didn't know Hopkins had gotten hurt but that explains why he's going mid-late 30's. What was his adp pre injury? or was it the same?

This kind of question depends a lot on your league, but in most normal home leagues guys like Polk, Jeudy, Cooks, Shaheed are likely the answer.

If you're in a deeper type of league, McCaffery, Mims and Boyd make sense as guys that will likely do something for free. Dez Walker is an interesting dart throw.

I wouldn't waste time with Mims and probably Boyd too.

One of the New England guys. I like Polk a lot as a guy who could develop with Maye. Douglas had some flash last year as well.

Tyler Boyd in TEN if Levis hype is to be believed.

I also like Tim Patrick in DEN.

Reports are Pop looks great…the x-factor with him is durability…he needs to prove he can be trusted to be available…if he can I think he can put up some sneaky good stats.

Thanks for all the replies. I need to take my wife to a medical procedure and will return later to review. Lots of info here to process. THANKS

Jalen Tolbert has the Cowboys WR3 spot locked down and the training camp buzz has been good so far.

Wow. A lot to look into. I probably should have defined the league I'm in as some of these guys are much later. I am in a standard 12 team non-PPR league and some of these names will be available on the waiver wire all year long. But some of them are promising. A few I never heard of I need to research. Sadly my attention span hurts my research. LOL
