Falcons' Hartwell injures Achilles; likely done for year Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Atlanta Falcons starting middle linebacker Edgerton Hartwell could miss the remainder of the season after injuring his right Achilles' tendon in Sunday's 31-28 loss to New England. Hartwell hurt himself with 3:46 left in the third quarter and had to be helped off the field. He was later carted to the locker room, then returned to the sidelines wearing a walking boot and crutches. "It didn't look good," said Falcons head coach Jim Mora Jr. of Hartwell's injury. "Unless we get divine intervention, he might be done (for the season)." Hartwell signed a six-year free-agent contract with the Falcons in the offseason after spending his first four NFL seasons with Baltimore. The 26- year-old was a starter for the Ravens in each of the past three years and racked up a career-high 191 tackles in 2002. Atlanta will also be without nickelback Chris Cash for an extended amount of time after he suffered a possible broken right arm in the fourth quarter
