League facts: 1-10 rush and receiving yrds, 1-25 passing yrds, 6 points rushing and receiving td's, 6 points passing touchdowns.

During approximately the 5th or 6th round of the draft Team A and Team B made a trade that was announced at the time the trade was made during the draft. It was asked if anyone had any objection to the trade and no one objected at the time. There was some joking around and laughing but no one had a serious objection or at least didn't let it be known at the time of the draft. Both teams involved in the trade drafted accordingly as if the trade was to go through ok. A short time after the draft was done some objections came up about the trade and the way it looks now the trade will not be allowed to go through.

Trade facts

Team A receives: Tom Brady and Chris Brown

Team B receives: Clinton Portis and Chris Sims

Two questions

1. Should the trade be veto'd by the commissioner?

2. Regardless if the trade should be veto'd or not who got the advantage?

I will have more specific info after I get more responses.

1. The trade should NOT be vetoed...

2. Looks pretty close to me, but most people here will probably like Team Bs end of the trade better.

1. No veto2. Doesn't really matter, nobody had any objections when it was brought up and these teams probably adjusted their drafts with intent on making the trade. 3. No veto

Here we go again. :wall: If its not collusion it shouldn't be vetoed. End of story.
:goodposting: As an aside, we do not permit trading during our draft. All trades must be finalized by noon the day before the draft and then the draft order and keeper rosters are frozen. Trading then resumes immediately after the draft.

Why would you EVER Veto a trade unless there is collusion? One team will ALWAYS get the better of a deal, thats just how it works. Very rarely is there a perfect trade.

I always laugh at these questions because so often trades are vetoed and then the season starts and there are injuries and breakouts and MVP seasons.

The Commish has his own team to run and I would expect him to let people run their own teams.

:goodposting: I agree with this point of view and for the record it really doesn't matter who got the better trade because everyone value their players differently, therefore; such a question (as it pertains to this situation) is invalid. The owners had a chance to veto (according to the rules) and didn't (according to the rules) so the owners drafted with the idea the trade was approved which it was (according to the rules). So, considering the trading partners presented their trade before the masses, there is no way you can look back now (after it's clear that it was approved by the owners) and try to veto. This is GAY in IT's highest order.

People don't value the same players the same way. Otherwise, there would be no interest in FF as a hobby. This is a perfectly fine trade. One team upgrades at QB, the other upgrades at RB with an acknowledged "risk" regard to injury. This trade could be defined simply as Team A is more risk averse than Team B. The trade could also be predicated on the rest of the roster.Even if Team B gets the better deal in terms of raw numbers, Team A could end up being the stronger team and was willing to take lesser raw value in order to improve overall team strength.

Nobody should run anybody else's team.. Don't make your own opinions about a trade influence a veto power. Now if you saw a Portis for Mike Anderson trade now thats different.. Why do people continue to hold others back?? Really its annoying how immature people can be.. Obviously he is worried about the team getting Portis.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU VETO THAT TRADE?

Your league sucks and it sounds like a few people need to be punched right in the chicklets in front of their families.

No collusion, no veto. Besides, this trade is even enough anyway where it shouldn't have gotten complaints. What is the reasoning used by the people who want to veto, or are they just a bunch of whiners?

You should wait until after the first week. Then, when Chrissy injures her pinky and is put on IR, THEN veto the trade. All kidding aside, vetoing this one is about as stupid as you can imagine. What a bunch of whiners.

I appreciate the responsed on this post. I will give more information in the next couple of days but as of right now to make a case to the commish I just need responses of who won the trade and if it should be vetoed.

This trade looks legit to me. I am not getting what is wrong with it. I would trade Brady for Portis any day of the year.

OMG you don't f'n get it.. :wall: Who got the better end of a trade isn't any part of a veto.. Your league is screwed up.. Sorry buddy but you guys do not get it..

Looks like a pretty even trade to me. Pre injury and Duckett trade I'd much rather be on the Portis side of the deal but now I'm not so sure.

Dude, it doesn't matter who "won" the trade. You don't know that until the end of the year. All that matters is that both teams agreed to it without collusionary reasons. Did they?Okay. Let the trade through, and stop whining.
