I was wondering what was everyone deadline for getting starting line-ups in for your scheduled games. Our current rule was that every owner had to have there line-up in by 30 min before gametime is this rule Unreasonable?? Should I allow owners right up until kickoff! Also My league currently has roster requirements 2qb start 1 3 rb's start 2 4 wr's start 3 2te's start1 2 kiackers start 1 and 1 def Do you think we should move to unlimited roster Requirements and if so How many rds should we draft we currently hav a 14 rd draft just enough to fill the roster requirements. Thanx in advance any input in this would be greatly appreciated

30 minutes seems like an arbitrary number. Our leagues allow lineup changes right up to kickoff of each individual player's NFL game. That gives teams more flexibility for the dreaded "game time decision" playersIt's my personal preference, but I'd also change your roster requirements so teams are required to hold two kickers and tight ends if they don't want to. That will put more strategy into the draft and allow good owners to actually take advantage of their skills.

Back in the old days, you had to have a time rule to prevent problems. But with all the leagues on internet sites these days, it makes it a lot easier to make lineup changes at the last minute. If your site is capable of handling it up until gametime, then I say do it that way.

I also would say that you should let the teams manage their roster how they would like to. There are rsoter requirements in two leagues I'm in. In the first one (redraft) you have to come out of the draft able to fill out your starting lineup. In the other (dynasty) you have to maintain 2 K's and 2 DST's on your roster at all times during the regular season.

30 mins isn't so "unreasonable" but IMO allowing right up to kickoff is best. And if you have an online thing that allows for automatically doing this (dont' most sites do this?), it's easy.

For online leagues, up until kickoff (which is what we do). You have so much late-breaking 'game-time' decisions, you need to get as close to the kickoff as possible.

I could see deadlines before kickoff for offline leagues.
