NFL | League will revise injury reportsSat, 24 Mar 2007 09:14:56 -0700Kevin Seifert, of the Star Tribune, reports the NFL is planning to improve its weekly injury reports after several teams questioned the existing method and protocol. Atlanta Falcons general manager Rich McKay said the new system will require teams to reveal each injured player's practice schedule. If commissioner Roger Goodell approves the new format, the old classifications of probable, questionable and doubtful will be de-emphasized. Under the new system, teams will list the amount of practice in which injured players participate on Wednesday and Thursday of a game week. On Friday, the teams will designate each players as probable, questionable, doubtful or out.
This may be an issue in some leagues when it comes to picking up free agents during the week. In my league, we have a first-come first serve setup for injured players. When a player is listed as doubtful or out on the Wednesday injury report, we can pick up an extra player to replace him and not have it affect the roster size limit. With this new setup, I'm not sure how we can do this. Any ideas? Will this new rule affect your league in any way?

my local big $$$ league holds a weekly meeting on thursdays where WW/FA and IR occurs.

i'm with ya, not sure how this will affect.
