Regardless of whether the Cavs win the NBA championship or not, I think what happened last night was a possible shift in power. The West has been sitting quite pretty in the post Jordan era, but I think that is going to start going in other direction relatively quickly.
LeBron last night showed a will that transcended the entire game. By the time that game went into overtime you could feel that he wasn't going to lose. It wasn't happening. He wasn't going to allow it. I haven't gotten that feeling in a year......when Dwayne Wade was doing it every night for the last two rounds of the play-offs.
When Dwayne Wade gets back to 100%, I have a feeling the NBA may turn into Miami vs. Cleveland for about 5-10 years. Most teams in the West are aging, and they beat each other up real good. Wade and Lebron as hard as it is to concieve should only be getting better and better. Studs with this much "IT" do not peak in the early to mid 20's. If they can improve the parts around them each offseason, they should improve each season.

The league overall is going to be real exciting for a long time. Unmentioned East guys like Bosh, Deng (he still has to prove more), Arenas, etc are pretty darn good too. The league has potential to reach 80's heights imo. Definitely will surpass the 90's.

Doesn't matter how "stacked" the West is possibly going to be for years.Olajuwon, Barkley, Drexler, Kemp, Robinson, Payton, Malone, and Stockton were pretty good players during the Jordan run. Didn't seem to matter as long as #23 wasn't playing baseball.

Wade and LeBron are like Larry and Magic. Wade @ 100% and playing more than 20 games all season w/ Shaq has them as a contender the next 2-3 years. LeBron showed us he does whatever it takes to win. The guy is sick as a scorer, rebounder, and passer and has been playing the passing lanes very well also. Had Boozer been smart and honest and stayed w/ the Cavs . . . ####. I'm from Pittsburgh and find myself rooting for a team from Cleveland after all the #### the media gave LeBron after Game 1. Do you know how hard that is?? Had Marshall made a WIDE OPEN 3 that LeBron handed to him on a silver platter, this series is already OVER.

Things Lebron needs to do to earn a 10 on the 'clutchness' scale:
Beat the Pistons with 4 fans chosen from the crowd as Cleveland's remaining starting lineup. This must be done in Detroit.
Win 10 championships in a row. Championships won at home do not count.
A time traveling machine shall be created to bring back Jordan, Magic and other NBA greats in their prime to play against LeBron and the Cavaliers. If Lebron uses both hands, clutchness can only go up to 9.0 max.
Lebron must defeat both the Pistons and the Spurs. Game times for both games shall be at the same time. Again, the main prerequisite is this must be done on the road.
Make the plays Jordan made in the movie 'Space Jam'. Without the aid of special effects.

Spurs unlike Mavs/Phoenix are not a team built for the regular season. BTW Cavs were 0-4 vs. Phx and Dal. I'd be surprised if the series line was anything less than 350 for Cleveland. Hell, it might be 450.

well they have to use Gooden and Z's outside jumper to keep Duncan out of the lane on D and are big enough to cause some problems for the Spurs front line (Cavs are top o-rebounding team in NBA). Spurs are IMO the best team in the NBA since the all-star break, but I dont think the Cavs will be swept.

You're kidding yourself. First, not built for the regular season...care to explain? Its basketball. They need to win games. Also, assuming the Cavs win the series versus Detroit you think it will be a sweep and ~ +450? You're severely underrating the Cavs here. Noone gave them a chance vs. the Pistons while the Pistons were the favorite to go to champ series and potentially beat Spurs. And, if Cleveland beats Pistons (who they outplayed every single game), they don't stand a chance?

No, I don't and you misread my post. I said I wouldn't be surprised to see 350 implying I'm expecting a price lower than that. Probably around 300. As good as the Cleveland LeBrons are playing they should be happy to win one game versus the spares. The oddsmakers will recognize this. Futures odds posted sometime today will reflect the likely price. I'll see if i can find one out there.

The best part about it is your comments were halarious before you were even owned.As a Cleveland sports fan, all of this arrogance over LeBron's play, and basically acting like he has locked this ECF up already still leaves me me with this cloud of impending doom. It makes me feel like LeBron is gonna completely choke away two games in a row here and our hopes for a title will be dashed yet again. We had the Broncos at 1st and 98. We had the Marlins down in the bottom of the 9th with our closer in the game. Yah, the Cavs may be one win from the Finals, and 5 games from a world title, but to me it really feels like a million light-years away.

I'm gonna try to not get ahead of myself here....but Saint...just winning those two regular season games is not the only thing Cavs fans have going for them. The Cavs matchup well against the Pistons and the Spurs, I'm not sure how anyone can deny that. I believe when they won in SA, it was the first time since like the 80's or something crazy like that. If the Cavs make the finals, they are going to be a confident group of guys. They are physical, tough on D (Mike Brown is from SA molding), can get hot from the 3pt line at times, and when Lebron is attacking we've all seen that he can make plays (whether it's averaging 8+ assists or getting to the line or slamming it home or pulling for a jumper).I'm hoping the Cavs close out Saturday and are huge dogs again by everyone for the next series. It only makes them feel like they have nothing to lose and there's really no better situation to be in when you reach the Finals for the first time.

Anyway, please explain the following:(1) Spurs were barely tested (and I'm talking Suns series)(2) Cavs will be swept (after beating DET, and outplaying them every single game)

I have this feeling, but it's ALOT farther back in my mind than last year being up 3-2 against the Pistons. I've had a good feeling about this whole series so far. As someone just mentioned, the Cavs have really outplayed the Pistons in every game so far. But the vet Pistons found a way to pull out 1 and 2 like they should. Just seems like the hole is pretty deep for them right now. They can't be a confident group, unless they are just saying Lebron can never do something like that again. I believe they were confident still last year down 3-2 going back to Cleveland.

They have, in no particular order...
1. The best player on the court (slim margin)
2. The best coach on the court (WIDE margin)
3. The 2nd best player on the court (Manu)
4. The 3rd best player on the court (Parker)
4b. The best PG on the court (Parker)
5. Home court advantage
6. Rest
7. The dirtiest player on the court (Bowen)
8. Robert Horry
9. A deeper bench
10. "Been there, done it, can do it again" experience.
I HATE the Spurs and will be rooting for whoever comes from the East, but I don't see any way the Spurs don't kill in the Finals.

I know Bowen is supposed the be the "best" there is....but Prince was named to the 2nd team all NBA defense three years running....that hasn't meant much.
