Lee Evans (1 Viewer)

The first two games for Lee Evans were atrocious, but the past two he has gotten a combined 15 catches and gotten at least 90 yds in both games. I would not want to start him against Chi, but for the next few games he has Det, Ne, bye, Gb, Ind, Hou and his playoff schedu is NYJ, MIA, and Ten. What do you all predict out of Lee Evans for the rest of the season. I think he is the perfect guy to trade for.

I think he is pro-bowl talent. With the maturation of Losman, I think Evans will get close to some preseason projections. Hell, if Laveranues Coles can light it up, why not Evans?

Because coles has proved that he can do it in past seasons?

thought i remember reading that in week three he got alot of his during garbage time......not sure about last week, but that lends me to believe it may not be a true upswing.

You must be referring to the last 3:20, otherwise the Bills were within 1 TD and a 2 point conversion. After being down 15, he got 43 of his 107 yards. So you can either take that as meaningless garbage time, or that Evans is the guy they go to when they need a quick score.

I havent gotten to see Lee evans play this year, so if anyone can tell me how he has looked in games and how buffalos offensive scheme has been would be appreciated.

Buffalo has been a ball control team leaning on Willis McGahee. Their D is good so they will be in most games and not throwing a ton. I think Lee Evans is very talented but will ultimately dissapoint just because of the team his is on.

I traded Brett Favre and Evans today for Jamal Lewis and Kellen Winslow.

Just to comment on the playoff stuff. I don't recall Buffalo passing well in the cold in a long time. Feel free to look up the stats, maybe a game here or there but...in 9 years Moulds only has 4 100 yard games in December(assuming week 14-17 is Dec) 36 total games. 2 of those 4 maybe in domes Sea and IND.Kelly(re:96) Bledsoe and Holcomb had 1 300 yard game in weeks 14-17 while with Buff. Losman, Van Pelt, Rob Johnson, Todd Collins...zeroI'd trade him away in late november. I used to do it with Moulds and it's so cold in Buffalo I just figure that's why. Evans is not Moulds and Losman isn't Kelly+the others but...for me the stats say don't have passers or receivers from Buf in Dec.

I'm an Evans owner and I'm hopeful. Not because we've seen much from him this year, but because we've seen this from him every year.

2005: 1st 8 games -- 18 catches, 234 yards, 1 TD

2005: Games 9-16 -- 30 catches, 509 yards, 6 TDs

2004: 1st 8 games -- 16 catches, 321 yards, 2 TDs

2004: Games 9-16 -- 32 catches, 522 yards, 7 TDs

The slow start certainly isn't winning me any games, but he has a history of turning it up in the 2nd half. With Losman's continued growth and a pretty nice 2nd-half schedule, I think it makes sense to hang on to him. As bad as he's been, he's on target to post the best first-half numbers of his career in receptions and yards (30/386). Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll put up 40 catches or so for 600-700 yards and 6-9 TDs in the 2nd half.
