Anyone know how you can't pass a physical to be traded, yet you are deemed healthy enough to go out and play in a preseason game?

Different teams have different criteria for their physicals.

Although the Jets do not have to release what caused Suggs to fail, I've heard it his narrowing of the spine condition. This is strange the Jets would say that's the reason, because they knew about it before ever making the trade.

Also heard Jets had buyers remorse after trading for Suggs, thinking they could do better.

Jets | Team was offered injury waiver with Suggs

(KFFL) Patrick McManamon, of the Akron Beacon Journal, reports the New York Jets were offered an injury waiver with Cleveland Browns RB Lee Suggs. The team still failed Suggs' physical. Suggs was baffled with the way the Jets treated him, as an intern told him of his failed physical on the way to the hospital.

Because he WAS NOT the RB of choice. It is believed that once the news got out that the market was about to drop that they lowered the asking price for their backs.

The Jets felt Barlow was a better option.
