Lee Suggs could be done in CLE (1 Viewer)

What would Lemmy do?
Browns RB On The Way Out? CLE News With the Browns' drafting of RB Jerome Harrison in the fifth round, Lee Suggs may be on the way out. "He's just been hurt and hasn't been able to get out there and show what he can do, at least with this particular group, meaning Romeo and myself," Savage told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "It gets harder as your team improves because you're going to have to cut the cord with the guys that have not helped you for a year or two. Jerome Harrison is a good prospect. We think he can be a real strong challenger as that change-up back for Reuben [Droughns]."
Suggs has talent, and if he could just stay healthy instead of breaking something when someone else sneezes, I could see him as a great backup with a chance to put up numbers if the incumbent went down. Who would be on the market for Suggs if he's cut?

Suggs will be picked up...as a matter of fact I wouldn't mind seeing the Cards pick him up.

I'd like to see my Colts get Suggs if they could get him for cheap. I've always liked his talent whenever he's been able to play.

He'll get a job somewhere. There is GM or coach who believes the new city, new life hype and it might just work for him. He has just benn nicked up for what seems like years and never got the opportunity to see what he could do with 8-10 straight weeks of playing regular football. There are some guys " Any Cardinal not named EDGE" who he couldprobably beat out.

When I saw them draft Harrison I got this impression also. Ever since they had the new staff, they've commenting on wanting two RBs... a power runner and a change of pace back like they used in New England with Smith/Dillon and Faulk. They couldnt do that last year because Suggs was hurt most of the season. If Suggs is hurt in camp again, he's definately gone. If Suggs impresses and maybe shows he can play special teams, Harrison will probably spend his first season on the practice squad.

As for the backup job, it doesnt necessarily belong to the change of pace back. With Green there, they'd probably just plug him into the power role and continue in a simuliar pattern as Droughns. If they had drafted a power back, it would be William Green's name on the header of this thread.

Its actually a good fit too. Partly depends on just really how much they believe in Addai. He'd probably end up somewhere like Philly.

Green and Suggs will be gone. Niether of them are Romeo's guys and I dont see either of them around for training camp. No one is going to give up anything of worth for a guy who cant stay healthy or a guy who cant stay out of trouble.

* On a positive side, both of these guys are super talented but I will never forgive William Green for ruining one of my fantasy drafts. 2003 I drafted him in the second round.....yes I know.....thinking he would be a stud after 887 yards and 6 TD the season before....bum....

Man, all those teams listed have more RB's than the Raiders. The Raiders couldn't address all their needs on draft day, but I think fans were looking for a Day 2 pick to find a guy to spell Lamont. Fargas inspires little confidence, receives few carries, and likes to get boo-boos.
