Legion (1 Viewer)

finale was really good, and they did a great job of kind of wrapping up and i think the main questions they had they wrapped up at the end. I also have an idea of what the last scene could be, but it would be hard for show to try this angle. it is possibly spoiler (i have zero information beside comic books i read long time ago), but hopefully some want to discuss possibilities:

ETA: just checked out Legion in reddit. i don't think this is a spoiler at all, i'm not even close

I think the little globe looked like it could possibly be Shiar technology, and i wonder if David will meet his dad with the Shiar in outer space. Could suggest what he meant when he would talk about how the stars always talked to him

i think i am beginning to have a conversation with myself regarding this show, but that's cool. Probably best show for it to occur with (maybe Mr. Robot). Anyway, saw this on Reddit, and it interested me. Not the theory i think, but would be a ton of fun for season 2. It's a theory, but i'll put in spoilers just in case. kind of only spoilerish for comic  :nerd:

http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/03/legion-end-of-credits-scene-finale-orb-what-is-equinox-mojo-farouk  Idea is that the orb at the end could be from Mojo, the creature in outer space that ran the game show. Would be real interesting how they would put this on TV, but man this could be a ton of fun.

I'm still watching, and really enjoying the show. loved the ending and wonder how many people missed the final globe scene that ran after the closing credits? can't wait to see jermaine clement more next season- especially with the parasite pulling the strings.

fwiw- those spoilered things aren't abstract theories- they're theories based on the comic books (I think?) which reference things not seen in the show yet. so... yeah- they're spoilers for those of us still watching that didn't read the comics.

oh my bad with the spoiler thing. I don't think anybody really knows anything so that's why i guess i would frame it as "possible theories" and not spoilers. I'm hoping it doesn't ruin any possible surprises for you  :scared:

I did. Finished the season last night, and shut it off when the credits hit.

Really enjoyed these 8 episodes. Perfect for me for getting high and watching in bed with headphones.  Looking forward to season two.

The Angriest Boy in the World is pretty ####### creepy.

Loved The Sopranos, but the Kevin Finnerty episodes felt like torture. This show was like a whole season of that and I just couldn't hang after 5 or 6 episodes. Based on what I'm reading here, maybe I'll watch the finale and see if that makes me want to give this another try.

Season 1 was meh to me because it tried so hard to be unique and different.  Thought maybe they'd pull the reigns in for Season 2, guess not.

Man, this show.

OK, I'll take a shot. Toward the end, we see the blackened baby chick (representing "delusion") crawling toward the bed where David and Syd are. But which person did the delusion infect? Then we see David give the compass necklace to Syd. Next scene is a flashback to when David got sucked into the floating orb. But is it really a flashback? We already know that David doesn't remember anything (or so he says). Now we see Syd, wearing the necklace but unable to speak, and David infers she's from the future, and that she wants him to help Farouk find his body, which is counter to what the mustache ladies wanted (they want David to find the body first). So is this David's delusion, in which he "remembers" that Future Syd sent the orb so that Future Syd could tell David to help Farouk, or is it Syd's delusion, in which she is convinced David needs to help Farouk? (I think it's David's delusion, but the scene also makes it seem that Syd has been coerced. I think her wearing of the necklace is meant to signify it's really her, and not someone pretending to be her. But she didn't have the necklace until after later, so either Syd really did time travel, or David's memories are being replaced.)

I really, really enjoyed season 1, but after 3 episodes of season 2, I might be out. It’s exhausting trying to follow along, and it seems like they make it purposefully chaotic. It’s more tedious than entertaining.

This episode just went step by step and explained the season so far. The first episodes were very crazy, agreed,  but it all came together last night imo. Still a big fan.

I would definitely describe last night's episode as tedious.

S2 E4 was the first time I've ever felt an episode was complete filler.  Just a wasted hour.

Syd is not an interesting character.  It's akin to if Breaking Bad had done a whole episode devoted to Skyler

Usually agree with you. Not this time.

Syd is one of the two main characters.  Thought this episode was funny

I can't get enough Aubrey Plaza or Jemaine Clement. Syd is just too thin of a character to carry an hour.  She's hot though

You don't think it's interesting for a person with the abilities to temporarily switch bodies would then use that power to become her own mother and have sex with her mom's creepy boyfriend, who then gets framed for statutory rape after the "mom" suddenly switches back into her original body, that of a 15-year-old girl?

Not to go too far off the rails, but didn't interest me at all.  But let's face it, most 15 year olds with super powers would probably use it to do some sex stuff.  If I would have found Jeannie's bottle on Cocoa Beach when I was 15 the first thing I used her powers for wouldn't have been to broker peace in the middle east.

What I DID find interesting was her switching with the boy and cracking the girls that were harassing her.  Revenge without punishment sets up a nice arc for her as a villain if they want to go that route.

I just compare it to something like Mr. Robot, which tries to make every side character somewhat interesting to the point you wouldn't mind seeing an episode completely about them and advancing their story.

Have no idea what the meaning of this episode was
They killed off a sister who hadn't really been around since early in the first season, so it didn't make much of an emotional impact. The next episode, they tried to make up for that by showing her importance in his life over multiple timelines. Perhaps it didn't quite work, but I'm willing to go wherever the creative team of Legion wants to take me.

It really didn't work especially since she wasn't in a bunch of those timelines

I think it was that, in one timeline, he used his powers to become the world's richest man, but he was basically the worst person ever and treated everyone around him like crap. In another timeline, Amy had him drugged up so that he couldn't use his powers at all and was completely dependent on her. In another, he was homeless and seemingly only used his powers in destructive ways, making him a wanted man. Then there was the prime timeline, where David was trying to understand his powers, and Amy, while trying to help David, had him committed, which eventually leads to her death. It was interesting, but was it necessary to expand the story? Not sure.

Bored on a plane I decided to watch a few episodes of S2 toward the end. I'm no fan of the MCU and I think most all of those movies are dumb. I was really impressed with this show. The episides I watched were completely out of context so I may not have the same continuity expectations as you bunch, but I thought the episodes I saw were really well written and acted (except the hot chick who is vanilla af) and the visual aspects of the show were outstanding. I loved how the writers want you to soak in the nebulous and fantastical effect of this world. I'll try to watch more of it. I'm not a television watcher in general so we will see. I'd actually prefer if they don't tie in any of the kiddie movies in with it. It's fine as it is.

i've seen every episode and now i could us a "Legion for Dummies" book to explain it all to me.   However, i love the show even if I don't "get" it
