Just saw it happen. Leinert injured while being sacked. Had his right shoulder driven into the ground. Couldn't lift it on the very next play.

crap.
I thought he looked very good tonight too! He had nice pocket presence. On a side note, whoever #54 is for Denver as a rush end looks amazingly fast! He chased down Shipp from the opposite side of the field in the backfield.I think if serious, Volek would be a nice fit behind Warner!

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Arizona rookie quarterback Matt Leinart left Thursday night's preseason game against Denver with a sprained right shoulder.

The injury occurred when Leinart was sacked by Patrick Chukwurah late in the third quarter. He stayed in the game for one more play, completing a pass, before going to the sidelines.

Earlier in the game, Leinart directed an 87-yard touchdown drive, throwing 17 yards to Troy Walters for the score.

That Chukwurah looks like a nice pick for IDP. Dude has wheelz!

he just got injured as well.

"I don't know, I haven't seen the play. Just pointing out the obvious here, which is [Leinart] was an injury waiting to happen."

Sprained right shoulder per the sideline reporter on the Denver radio network.
Looked like it was dislocated to me from what I saw on tv. He could not even lift his arm 6 in.
Ummm - you ever seen someone dislocate a shoulder. You can lift your arm about...0 inches.
 I've done it and seen it done and that isn't true at all, if it pops back in right away.Leinart has been impressive, especially for a guy who held out...I hope he's ok

I think Leinart is going to surpass Houshmandzadeh and Roethlisberger as the most misspelled name on this board.

His self-assessment:

“It was kind of a fluke thing. It just got out of socket a little bit and I was running off it was kind of hanging there, but I popped it back in and it was fine,” he said. “I could have gone back in and played if I had to.”

David, Joe almost quoted me directly in his daily email last night. He then took all the credit...haha "The trouble looks like it came on the play prior to that one where he was tackled and driven into the ground." -JB

Seriously, I knew it was more than a strain, but hopefully it looks like he'll be okay.

He just gained about 5 clicks on the respect-o-meter.
Kid is gonna be a star in this league. The Jets made a huge mistake in passing up on the next best thing to Favre when it comes to grit. This is not shtick. Leinart is going to win Super Bowls.

I think the Titans look like fools as both Leinart and Cutler look ready to lead now. It's possible Vince Young becomes something special, but there were very few experts that rated Young as a better pro-prospect than Leinart and Cutler.

and although Jeff Fisher would never throw his owner or GM under the bus, I wonder who he and Norm Chow really wanted. I am guessing if it was Vince while Fisher/Chow wanted Leinart then the GM is on a very short-leash right now.
