I'm not exaggerating when I say whatever happened will cost me a win. I'm around 10 points behind the guy I'm playing and LB's usually score us 10-20 points in our system.

where are all the Redksins homers ?? :loco:
:shrug:Wherever he was, Marcus Washington wasn't far away from him. MW ended the game for me with a solo tackle. :wall: 4 of the top 6 tacklers in the game for the Redskins were the starting DB's, which ain't pretty. :XI'd point out that a lot of the Eagles plays, including running plays, seemed directed to the sides of the field. LJ Smith, for example, only had one catch.

wow..... :X anyway, thx for the recap

This is the second time this has happened this year. Two weeks ago he was out with an injury, but there wasn't much heads up. Maybe he reaggirvated the injury before the game. I got him in one league with a big 0, but I pulled out the victory. Two weeks ago was a different story.

Probably the worst personnel decision that the Redskins have made during Gibbs II is the failure to resign Antonio Pierce. He was the on-field captain for that defense and was athletic enough to make plays in his own right.

I like Lemar Marshall and admire him for overcoming long odds to play in the NFL, but he just doesn't cut it. He was at his best as the WLB fill-in for Arrington in 2004 when Arrington was basically out for the year. The only play I can ever remember him making in the opponent's backfield was last week's tackle of Julius Jones for a safety.

For the Eagles to have run 60 offensive plays and for him to have failed to register a single tackle, assist, sack, pass defensed, fumble recovery, etc. is frankly shameful as the MLB in a 4-3 defense.

I saw a very little bit of the game and he seemed to be lined up way off the line of scrimmage every play that I saw. Why this is I'm not really sure. Perhaps Taylor was being used as a spy on Westy and this moved Marshall further into the secondary, just taking a guess here.

Whatever happened it looks like him and Marcus Washington hung out together while Holdman took over for them. Nobody really stood out on the tackle numbers though.

Honestly, i start to think that the Redskins problems (OFF & DEF) are not the players but....the coaches

You damn right. It was the last time in my life I draft a guy with no talent but good situation. In the future I will opt with talent / bad situation instead, if talent + good situation is not available (duh).

Is he worth keeping anymore? Say over one of those dynasty prospects mentioned in another thread here. Lemar seems to be a player that disappoints more often than not, and I don't think we can dispute that he doesn't have much upside in the future.

As long as he starts he won't be worse than most fantasy teams' 3rd LB, though his inconsistent performances will probably still be a problem. I share your doubt, however, as to how much longer he'll start, but that's a change that I think is far more likely to occur during the offseason than it is during this season.

With Ray-Ray going down, I'm stuck having to choose between Lemar Marshall and Channing Crowder this week. Unless I want to activate D'Qwell from my Taxi Squad, which at this point I don't.

I'm leaning towards Marshall at this point. It's uncanny how few plays either of these guys make. No INT's, Forced fumbles or recoveries for either guy. Marshall has 1.5 sacks, Crowder none. That almost difficult to pull off for starting linebackers on mediocre to bad teams!

If anyone has any reason why I should favor one guy over the other this week I'm all ears!

Both Marshall's and Crowder's opponents (Bucs and Vikings, respectively) run the ball a lot and are good opponents for opposing LB points. In my league the Vikings are good for two more points per game for LB's than are the Bucs (28.78 vs. 26.61; league avg. = 22.81), but both are good plays. Given the position Marshall plays (a true MLB in a 4-3), I'd give him the edge though. FWIW, I'm playing Crowder over Marshall's teammate, Marcus Washington, this week.

After last week, Marshall costing me a victory, I dumped him and picked up J.Seau. Great move by me! (1 assist total)

Given their total inability to stop much of anything today, if it's any consolation Marshall also helped cost the Redskins a victory today. He needs to be benched.

I didn't cut Marshall, but I too made this shrewd pickup this week. Whatever, I couldn't take another goose egg from Marshall.
