LEMON STAYS IN THE LAND OF ORANGES

Quarterback Cleo Lemon has a new team, and he still won't be paying state income taxes.

According to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com, Lemon has agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He previously played for the Miami Dolphins.

It's a three-year, $8.1 million deal. It includes a $2.95 million signing bonus and $4 million in incentives.

Lemon will serve as the backup to starter David Garrard.

Per PFT

So what is Miami left with at QB? Beck and possibly Green? Did they roster another QB that is still under contract when Green went down last year?

Quinn Gray =
I thought Gray was a UFA?
he is
He is...but re-signing with the Jags was certainly something he and his agent had to have considered.
Maybe he goes to Miami.
would be a good idea. Although Miami seems to be moving in on McCown Someone else mentioned Dallas to back up Romo

Quinn Gray has let it be known that he wants to go somewhere where he has a chance to start. I think he'd make a fine backup but I don't think he's starting material. Kinda like AJ Feeley.

Gray was really PO'ed when Leftwich was named starter before trainging camp and even threatened to not sign his one year tender last year. So i dont think he would like to stay there.

Great deal for Lemon, and teams have way too money to throw around because this guy is bad.

Jeez Jax really loves black QBs
:lmao: You do realize that they made a "very competitive" offer to Todd Collins that may have been valued more than the Redskins were offering. But Collins expressed interest in returning to the Skins and subsequently accepted their offer. Lemon is merely option #2; not a bad one at that.EDIT: Evidently, out of the 8 mill, only 3 is guaranteed and 4 mill is tied up in incentives- which he will probably not ever see. Damn solid deal.
