LenDale White Bandwagon (1 Viewer)

Rev

Footballguy
As recent news declares (link below), the doughboy is now fully healed, working with a personal trainer, shedding weight, and getting into shape. His coaches are liking what they see, and he will compete for a starting spot immediately.

As a White owner and the co-chair of the local chapter of the LenDale White bandwagon committee since the Rose Bowl, I'd remind you that there are plenty of seats available and lots of buzzing to do before week 1.

This guy could and should be a monster.

Edit to add: The wagon will make a stop at Crispy Creme to pick up LenDale.

i've BEEN in, even when the haters were out in full force pre-draft, but it will be funny to see how much he proves them all wrong. the guy can play.

The term BUST not only refers to LenDale's NFL career but also his chest.
:lmao: But seriously, LenDale is at least a year and a trade away from being the outright #1 in TEN.

Consider my "wagon" a two-wheeled buggy for now... I can see the horses but not the load...

:2cents:

I've been hyping him up for a while. He has a very good chance to lead all rookies in rushing yards and TDs.

I was simply ecstatic when I interviewed him on the air during the draft. I've got his cell #, so don't be surprised when you see LW sporting a FBG hat.

Rookie of the Year 2006

I drafted him in two of my three leagues.

and then promptly traded him away in both.

I think He'll be a good RB, but not elite. Certainly good value as the 1.05 or 1.06 rookie pick.

It's funny how the same people that love White are the same people that say Bush had hallways to run through at USC. Last time I checked Lendale ran through those holes and Reggie made alot out of nothing. White was impressive in the Rose Bowl but the holes he had could even fit his PHAT butt through. This guy will be a bust, He shouldn't take the job away from Chris Brown (barring injury.... lol) Well, nevermind I guess he could see some time putting it that way But I think he will struggle until he gets in better shape.

Actually, I like both of them. I think Bush is the better prospect and the safer FF pick, but I think White has the higher upside for non-PPR leagues. They're two totally different players, but they're both very good at what they do.

Jeff Fisher has stated that he sees Chris Brown as a situational runner. When asked how he'll use LW he said, "I'm gonna give him the ####### ball!"

a more explosive eddie george... attacks defenders on his way to the goal line like they were in his path to the refrigerator... :)

Always a good poster by you Cecil so I should probably listen to you but next time you talk to him could you try talking him into wearing a "bra".

:lmao: Darnit, we may just have to get used to the fact that he's gunna be fat and lazy, but also that he's gunna be good. If you can have your cake and literally eat it too, so be it.

To the White haters who are heckling the wagon as it rumbles by:

You'll soon be shaking your heads in sync with LenDale's chubby butt and manboobs as he dances in the Tennessee endzone. Together, it will look like a disgusting and crude form of synchronized swimming.

Jerome Bettis is one of the Top 5 RB's of all time in the NFL, and IMHO he never looked like prototypical chiseled RB. In fact he most always looked fat to me. Being chiseled is not a prerequisite for success as a RB. It's more about heart, natural ability and exercising this ability to the fullest extent.

Nay-sayers have no evidence on any level that LenDale White has not been a good steward of his gifts. He has worked hard and taken advantage of his situation to the fullest on every level. In fact you have records upon records in his wake.

LenDale White will be the starting RB in Tennessee before their bye.

Fisher really said that? I mean, those are quote marks right?

Wonder if the possibility of a big endorsement deal for Cosmo Kramer's "The Bro" if he wins rookie of the year will be an incentive :D

OFF THE AIR interview that I was fortunate to be involved in on draft day with a writer very close to Jeff. Blew me away too when he said it.

all i know is i wouldn't want to be seated at the white household for thanxgiving dinner... reach for a drumstick & you pull back a bloody stump where your arm used to be...seriously, white has great bloodlines & comes from an athletic family... bolted onto the tank-like, bettis mini-me body are the feet of a man 50 lbs smaller (cousin is point guard chauncey phillips of the pistons)... that is what makes him special...

he also has exceptional vision, instincts, patience, ability to follow blocks, contact balance, deceptive burst for a big man and one cut shiftiness & explosiveness to fake out DBs in the open field, as well as the sense of when to stick it straight ahead, downhill mentality & toughness to finish to push the pile & nearly always be going forward...

& as to your description rev - dead sexy, like fat ####### from austin powers... i lost a lot of weight, but now i have a neck that looks like a... :)

* will his historic, record breaking career at tailback U translate to next level... michael huff was the #7 player selected in the draft... it was not a bizarro reach like whitner, a lot of teams coveted huff (drafted about as high as monster prospects sean taylor & roy williams, extremely rare for a safety)... though white has been questioned for his lack of workout strength, he flashes more than adequate functional & playing strength... he abused huff on one play in championsip game, throwing him down about as quickly & easily as john "bonzo" bonham would dispense with a shot of vodka...

Classic. :lmao:

I brought up this specific play when I interviewed him on draft day. That stiff arm said "go to sleep!"He chuckled in remembrance.

Falling to 45 was the best thing for him. Now he's motivated, mad, and out to prove the doubters wrong.

I'm interested in White, but being here in SoCal and having multiple Trojan honks in my league, I'm expecting he'll be gone before I'm willing to pull the trigger. Same for Leinart and Bush.

At least they'll be creating value for me...

i know a way to guarantee white wins the ROY...

just tape a fresh chili dog to the goal post each TEN possession...

TD MAKIN IS HUNGRY WORK!

:lmao:  Word is that LenDale's going to rub a dab of nacho cheese on his belly to mark and count every touchdown. He'll be a messy boy by seasons end...

pic of White abusing Huff
Yeah the guy dominates Texas, Chris Henry gets arrested 4 times, Holmes gets arrested twice, but White has "questionable character" because he put on 10lbs. Um yeah.White for ROY!

From the FBG daily email:

Great news for White. He was expected to be ready to go this week and he delivered right on schedule. With the way White slid in the draft, you can bet he'll be ready to go with a chip on his shoulder. Just the way we like a running back....
Hey Joe, that chip is actually a Frito Lay

I think he may end up being the best of the class next to Reggie Bush. Although he also could be the worst of the top 5 by far. He's such an enigma right now that it is a gamble no matter how you look at it. Does he have the desire in the weight room and in his ability to train to suceed at the next level? That is the only question I have at this point. If he does, he'll be a top ten back. He has the talent and the size to do well, but so do many other guys. In the NFL, hard work and determination before the season begins is what separates the men from the boys.

That being said, at pick 5 in the first round of a rookie draft, he has to be the pick there IMO. To pass on him for one of the QBs is a mistake. The upside is too great to not take him. I think he'll be starting by the end of the year and should go into next season as the unquestioned starter at RB in TEN. So, I tend to think he will succeed and has something to prove about his plummett on draft day. Count me in on the White bandwagon...

LenDale White has reportedly lost 11 pou... Published Tue Jun 20 5:59:00 p.m. ET 2006

(Rotoworld) LenDale White has reportedly lost 11 pounds since the Rose Bowl.

Impact: He practiced during team drills for a second straight practice Tuesday and should be close to 100% for training camp. "It was good to see him out there. I think we see a little more each day," coach Jeff Fisher said. White has a legimate chance to start in Tennessee, but the team will probably use a commite approach
