loose circuits

so what does the shark pool see ahead for lendale? he should be well rested and has the capability to be a grind it out 20 carry/game guy. done everything right last offseason, but cj2k was simply just too good to get off the field. is now the time to buy low on lendale?

He'll be in Seattle next year as the starting RB for Carroll. As a two down/goal line back. Forsett may still hold a change of pace 3rd down back. Caroll loved to use many RB's at USC.

Yep. In his presser, the only real football strategy he discussed was establishing a strong running game. Also, I think TN in spring of 2009 (remember Lendale was trim, coming off of a 15TD season), they realized they did not want so much money tied up at RB come 2010 and drafted Javon Ringer to eventually take Lendale's place.

Completely agree, he'll be in Seattle 100% no doubt in my mind.
Considering White blasted Carroll yesterday for bailing on USC after previously blasting White for bailing on USC, I kind of doubt it.
thread rooned?Tenn could keep him as a RFA without a deal, right? He has to have a fairly cheap contract. Would they consider a sign & trade?

Talk about it
If the CBA is not extended, he'll be an RFA, and for the price, TENN will tender him, and then A) listen to offers and B) either trade him or keep him. I doubt he'll bring back more than a 4th, but as a Titans fan, I'd be pretty happy with that return.

Hes a decent short-yardage runner, and always seems to fall foward, but a lack of top-end speed or any sort of vision, combined with being an absolute liability in route running....hes a backup who thinks hes a starter. Thats a dangerous mix for keeping him happy and your team successful.

I don't think he'll get a clear shot at a starting role, he'll more likely be the 1B back behind a slightly better starter. List of teams that makes some sense to me:

New England - Probably a long shot...if they bring in a new RB, its probably a clear starter, and not someone to compete with Morris

Pittsburgh - Would complement Mendenhall's skill set very well

Washington - I seem to remember Shanny liking Lendale in the draft a few years ago. If Shanny is still going to install the one-cut zone system that he tried to hire Gibbs for, White would make sense to me.

Detroit - I dont think it would be a great fit, but he was in TEN with Schwartz, and they do not have any RB options on their current roster

New Orleans- Might be a stretch, but I dont know if they'll retain Mike Bell for their "closer" role given his struggles...White would complement Thomas nicely.

Seattle - No idea what his relationship is with Carroll, but he'd fit Gibbs' blocking system and would complement Forsett nicely.

I intentionally left out Houston. I doubt the Titans trade within the division, and I doubt the Texans would pay the compensation to sign him away as a tendered-RFA.

(Rotoworld) Despite recently signing his one-year tender, LenDale White has not reported to the Titans' offseason program.

Analysis: White isn't subject to fines because the program is voluntary, but it's clear that the only reason he signed the tender was in hopes of being traded. The Nashville Tennessean believes White will be on the block this weekend. The plodding 25-year-old would bring back no more than a seventh-round pick

If this is all they can get for White, I don't see any way they trade him.

that is the Rotoworld author's opinion. I'd have to think he's worth more than that. At least a 5th round pick. Guy does have a nose for the GL & 1000 yd season on his resume
