Leon Washington - expectations? (1 Viewer)

I know everywhere is concerned with his leg - but I am wondering if the Shark Tank thinks this guy can be a top point getter in PPR formats and succeed?

Washington is one of my favorite longshot players this year. In a vacuum, I would consider a healthy Washington clearly the best RB of the group in Seattle. Despite good reasons for thinking White has the inside track to the bulk of the carries, it was Washington who commanded significantly more in trade. I'm not sure how he fits into the zone blocking scheme, but Seattle apparently likes his prospects. Overall, I'm always interested in acquiring a cheap RB with potential on a team with Alex Gibbs coaching the line.

Does anyone have historical comparisons for players with compound leg fractures?

I could be wrong but I thought White went for more in trade.

M. Bush his senior year. Went to Oakland, but I think he should have went higher if it was not for the injury. He is another sleeper this year as well.

#139: Seattle → New York Jets (D). Seattle traded this selection to the New York Jets for running back Leon Washington and a seventh-round selection (236th overall; Seattle selected Dexter Davis#104: Seattle → Tennessee (D). Seattle traded this selection and a sixth-round selection (176th overall; Tennessee selected Rusty Smith) to Tennessee for running back LenDale White, defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson, a fourth-round selection (111th overall; Seattle selected Walter Thurmond), and a sixth-round selection (185th overall; Seattle selected Anthony McCoy)

I think he may be an asset in return leagues. I don't think he'll make much of an impact in the running game. [i think White/Forsett will dominate the work there]

I like Forsett as much as the next guy but I really cannot see him holding Washington off barring he doesn't recover fully from the injury. I might have a biased opinion being from NY and watching him on the Jets but I really think he's the same exact type of back as Forsett with that much more ability. Forsett really didn't push Julius Jones out of the starting gig completely.. I think he'll have an even harder time with a healthy Leon.

that's just it, if if if Leon is healthy.Washington will likely be more of a special teams ace, IMO

Seattle also drafted Golden Tate....a WR known for his return abilities. An older vet with a bad leg may lose out to a talented rookie for return duties.
