All three linebackers stayed on the field, with Julian Peterson playing end (and Brandon Mebane leaving). Later in the season, the Seahawks used more dime packages, with Jordan Babineaux playing for Hill. His upside is probably in the LB3 range if he plays every down and takes more snaps on the weak side. If the Seahawks surprise and use more Tampa-2 concepts with Gus Bradley on board, it could be a little better. I doubt that's likely, however, as it's expected to be Jim Mora's defense.Hill was averaging an inconsistent five tackles a week before the shoulder issues and alignment changes ruined his second half. He's got a shot to top 80 solos if all goes well. What's his upside going forward in this new scheme? Also, who did he take 3rd down snaps away from?
He's 54 in the redraft rankings I posted earlier in the week. The dynasty rankings were posted before he was franchised. Still unsure of what his role might be. Would seem strange to franchise a two-down LOLB, but I'm waiting to see confirmation that he'll be switching sides or that Peterson will play end on every third down before I move him near the LB3-4 range.I'm keeping an eye on this one... I have an opportunity to match him in RFA by Sun but not sure if it's worth the price tag. (Actually I have both him and Crowder at a higher price and with Crowder I get a 4th rounder, but I was struggling for a reason to consider keeping Hill). Can someone convince me otherwise?I noticed neither you or AB had him in your top 60 as of last rankings. Does the marijuana arrest have any role? (Possible disciplinary action?)
Here they are. You can get to them by clicking on the Forecast tab from the front page. Not sure I'll have an update for a couple of weeks yet -- they'll look very much like my current redraft rankings at this point. He's 54 in the redraft rankings I posted earlier in the week. I agree. I don't think there's anyone in Hill's way now.corpcow said:Jene, I have to assume the Peterson trade is good for Leroy Hill, yes? Seems likely he assumes a 3 down role now?
Where would you see him in upside now in redraft? What is your feeling of his talent in dynasty? Is he a guy to target?I agree. With DD Lewis resigned how does this affect Hill? Lewis played very well when given the chance.I agree. I don't think there's anyone in Hill's way now.corpcow said:Jene, I have to assume the Peterson trade is good for Leroy Hill, yes? Seems likely he assumes a 3 down role now?
Upside is probably LB2 if the Seahawks use some Tampa-2. I think he's probably a solid LB3 at this point. The franchise tag would seemingly solidfy some dynasty value for him, but it's dependent on how they use him and how long he signs. I'd work on the assumption that he's a LB3-4 with upside for dynasty purposes.Where would you see him in upside now in redraft? What is your feeling of his talent in dynasty? Is he a guy to target?
I think DD Lewis is a two down SLB. He's a solid tackler, but I think the scheme and Lofa Tatupu's play will have a bigger effect on Hill's upside than Lewis' play. With DD Lewis resigned how does this affect Hill? Lewis played very well when given the chance.
Damn, I'm kind of regretting not matching his RFA contract nowUpside is probably LB2 if the Seahawks use some Tampa-2. I think he's probably a solid LB3 at this point. In dynasty I'd target him. He's been serviceable in prior years in his smaller role, and this looks like a bump up.corpcow said:Where would you see him in upside now in redraft? Too much uncertainty to expect more than LB3 numbers out of Hill for now. I haven't updated my redraft rankings this week, but I'd guess that Hill would fall somewhere in the low 30s to high 50s or so.What's the outlook now for tackle #s with the drafting of Curry?Seems like Hill will be at WLB but may not get 3-down role with Curry and Tatupu there unless SEA keeps all three on the field on passing downs. Is this possible? What LB tier would Hill fall into now?
