Lesean McCoy? How concerned are we? (1 Viewer)

:lmao: :lmao:

Oops.  I read that as McCoy saying that he's not going to miss playing football, as in "I won't miss being banged up all the time."  Now I understand he means he's not going to miss this game due to a hand injury.

Carry on.

I'm of the belief that if Williams isn't signed to BUF that McCoy owners will have dodged a bullet.
I agree.

Though the change of OC earlier in the season could favor McCoy.  That, and Karlos probably still isn't game shape Karlos of last year and is probably still several weeks away from approaching that status.  Gillislee is still the #2.

Off to great start today but went down with a knee injury.

So thread title is appropriate.  Very concerned.

ETA- Now running on sideline so hopefully not too serious.

Some of you guys are over thinking it (see pre-season David Johnson thread).  Shady simply was not healthy last year and the team had all kinds of things going on and being tried for the first time, all the way down to the QB.

The difference this year is he is simply healthy. He's making those cuts and moves he used to make when he was AWESOME.  If you're not a long time Shady follower, you may say "yeah, but some of the runs are ugly and he runs 8 times for 9 yards, etc".  I point you to the Barry Sander ENTIRE CAREER gametape.  Shady has never been that guy that you watch on every play and thing he's making the greatest decision or runs with authority on every play. But what you'll see is when he's healthy, he's used a lot and he's a steady, consistent compiler in FF. And every once in a while, he's magic and on those days, he's unstoppable.

Stay healthy Shady and you'll reward all your FF owners with a top 5-7 season, maybe more.
bumped ....again...for relevance.  Pure money,

Same here but got him later than that.  Took Hilton before him and didn't think Shady would be there next time around.  Lucky
Yep. I went WR-RB-WR-WR so it was vital I got that one RB right. First year owning him as well, people in my league always took him too early, strange that this year he fell off the radar a little when all the evidence was there that he would have a great season if fit.

are we convinced gillislee is the back to own? jonathan williams got some burn last week and was scouted as a potential every down back coming into the season.

any bills homers?
Yeah it's Gillislee. Williams only got some burn last week because it was a blow-out.

Gillislee has looked good on his touches.

Mike Gillislee now has runs of 15, 16, 19, 30, 44, 50, and 60 yards with 5 rushing TDs (he has 1 receiving TD) on 64 carries with the #Bills

I'm no homer, but...

For one week: Gillislee. Longterm: Williams.

Gillislee = JAG

A good strategy is doing the opposite of what this clown says. Dropped jaquizz for Gillislee
I would not have recommended dropping Quizz for Gillislee since Martin didn't practice today. Drop a kicker instead yo, they aren't people unless their name is Vinatiari or however the f you spell it

Anyway, Gillislee is a clear downgrade from McCoy since essentially 95% of all RBs in the league would be a downgrade with the way he's has been playing but Gillislee doesn't look like a JAG to me. He looks like a solid downhill runner with open field speed if he breaks into the second level and a nose for the end zone. He also has pretty good hands.

Also, Williams fumbled his third touch on BUF's 27 yard line last week. That doesn't exactly instill confidence. Despite having potential he's still pretty clearly behind Gillislee IMO.

Especially since Rotoworld is reporting that Martin had a setback. Oops.

I grabbed him back and dropped kniles..may regret that one. As far aa McCoy goes hopefully we hear news soon. Gill will fill in pretty nicely if needed though.

The bad: Shady has a history of hammy issues

The good: This hasn't been described as particularly bad - just that he didn't finish practice. Could be minor - still a few days for him to get right. I would think they'd have said more if it was something serious.

I wouldn't go too nutty about Gillislee until y'all hear an update about Shady. Obviously a great reminder for Shady owners to handcuff, but that goes without saying I guess.

You'd be surprised. I play in a 10 team where only 2 of us bother to handcuff. Shiny toys are hard to resist for people I guess

in a 10-teamer, I think handcuffs are a little bit less necessary since there's usually more talent available in the FA pool.

In 12 or deeper leagues handcuffing is far more important.

I have been impressed with what I have seen from Gillislee. He has some juice. He needs a nickname though, it's not a great name for a pro athlete.
