Lesean McCoy vs Osi Umeniyora (1 Viewer)

:lmao: this whole feud definitely makes me miss football. Can't wait for the next Giants-Eagles game.

New York Giants Pro Bowl defensive end Osi Umenyiora and Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy have had some choice words for each other, which started when McCoy called Osi "soft" on Twitter.

It has definitely escalated since that moment.

Osi responded via the New York Times, referring to McCoy as "she," "Lady Gaga," and "Chihuahua." In comments to ESPN New York, Osi clarified what he meant.

"I refer to him as she because that is something that a woman would do," Umenyiora said. "You can sit over there and be a Twitter gangster all you want to but on the football field is where you are supposed to address these types of things."

Twitter gangster. Classic.

He also explained the Lady Gaga remarks. Sort of.

"I have always referred to him as that because he is woman," Umenyiora explained. "We have a lot of animosity toward each other personally and on the football field is where I thought it was left. But he has decided to take it off the football field and say some things that I just have no respect for."

I'm not really sure why it's Lady Gaga, unless it's also a shot against her due to the rumors that she is actually a man.

Whatever the reason, it's clear Osi has no respect whatsoever for McCoy.

"Whenever a guy like an Andy Reid or a Michael Vick or a Jason Peters, whenever they come out and say some things like that, that might hurt me," Umenyiora added. "But a guy like LeSean McCoy, he's a nobody. He just needs to be quiet."

"Yeah, me and him, we had words on the field—both times we played. I hate him, he hates me, period," Umenyiora said. "He chose to take that off the field and make it public when it's something that's between me and him. It's something we can address on the football field. He let the whole world know about it, so I'm going to respond.

"He called me an 'African [blank].' It was bad. I said a couple of things to him. I don't remember exactly what I said, but it was rough," Umenyiora added. "This is a very violent and physical game. You're attacking each other, you're hitting each other. Things are going to get heated, especially against Philly…This year was the worst in my eight-year career as far as animosity toward that team. There's a real hatred toward Philly and there's a real hatred for them toward us. So it was rough out there. But I feel things like that stay on the football field. Off the field, we respect each other because at the end of the day we're all brothers. But he decided to take it so far that there's no going back from it now."

If you thought the Eagles-Giants games were heated before, you haven't seen anything yet.

Pretty sure McCoy addressed it on the field when he played NY last year. Osi didn't seem to be able to stop him.

10 for 64

14 for 111 and 1 TD

6.4 and 7.9

Osi has a SB ring, Mccoy doesnt. That would be the only response I would ever give Mccoy when he says anything, on the field or off....if I were Osi.

McCoy is right. Pretty dumb to go to Twitter with it though...
He is right, Osi is the 3rd best lineman on the team, but he is a top 20 lineman in the league. The Giants are just stacked at the position. I dont think Mccoy should be calling him out for it though. Its not like Mccoy is some accomplished RB. He is probably the 4th best skill player on the Eagles offense.

Osi: Call me when you have a super bowl ring.Lesean: That's your only argument?Osi: THAT'S THE ONLY ARGUMENT I NEED, LESEAN!

Interesting argument, considering how you opened up.

Not sure what you mean? My point if even though Mccoy is technically right, it didn't make any sense to call out someone else when you rank similarly. Its like a guy who makes 100k calling out a guy who makes the same or even more. Especially since that guy has a SB ring and you dont.

Somebody is excited for "Bad Teacher" to come out.

What's with all the ring talk? McCoy has been in the league for two whole years...If you are talking McNabb, who has been on the doorstep 4 times, that is one thing. But to suggest that Osi should bring up the ring to make McCoy feel bad is just silly, especially when considering how McCoy is 2-0 against the Giants as a featured back.

Exactly, guys who have been in the league two years should just keep their mouth shut and play football. Actually, everyone should do this, but if you are going to talk trash, at least have accomplished something in the NFL first.

sounds like someone needs to unbunch Osi's panties
I dont care about either player, but if they have an issue, they should leave it on the field, not run over to twitter like a 15 girl and call him names. Although i guess Mccoy is just 22 still, so maybe its OK for him to do.

If you'd add up all the Twitter beefs, I doubt 15 year old females would be 20% of them. Twitter beefs are for adult celebrities, FYI.

I havnt seen one football player call another names before. Maybe Ocho calling out the coaches, or stuff like that, but not what equates to a guy going on and saying " i hate that #####, she is a friggin slut".
