LeSean McCoy wont last (1 Viewer)

I am a LeSean McCoy owner and while I'm happy I am concerned he wont last the whole season.

I want to pick up Bryce Brown who should I drop

Kenbrell Thompkins

Le'veon Bell

Daryl Richardson

Josh Gordon

My starters are (non PPR)

Collin Kaepernick

Jamaal Charles

LeSean McCoy

Miles Austin

Wes Welker

Andre Johnson

Vernon Davis

thanks and will help you back.

Why do you think he won't last? He was juking the jock off guys left and right last night. Noticeably quicker than Brown.

I'd drop McCoy preemptively. Shark move.

If there is anyone on the Eagles that won't last, it is going to be Vick. Every time they run that read option, it looks like Vick was getting hit last night. Plus he was seen limping last night. This offense won't run the way Chip Kelly wants it to run with Nick Foles as QB.

Drop Thompkins. I need some one to drive my family to the airport on Saturday. Thanks. PM me for details.

I'm also concerned about McCoy long-term. Your team, not so much.

Try the AC forum. They like these questions over there. If you have to list your roster, you're in the wrong forum.

ya I agree kind of a dumb post that has no validity. Why would you be worried about MCCOY? Didn't take any big hits and was juking the crap out of people. He looked fresh and durable and fast as hell. He was probably the best runningback as far as running wise in week 1 even over AP.

I am a LeSean McCoy owner ... I am concerned he wont last the whole season.
So there is an actual issue here.

I don't see why they couldn't and shouldn't run Brown and Polk a whole lot more. Maybe the shuttling would delay the tempo.

Also, I realize they had a big lead, but the flip in play totals indicates there might be an issue with the iggles getting gassed in the 2nd half and later in the season. Remains to be seen.

Naw, I meant to post this in the Assistant Coach Forum.... I am concerned that he wont be able to keep up the 30 carries a game.... now that may not happen every game, but I would like the safety valve of Bryce Brown who has upside already.

My bad wrong forum... its just my early opinion with the only fact being his work load so far, and how seemless Bryce Brown enters the game.

I just don't buy into this "We need to plan for injury" stuff. Maybe for Vick. But McCoy could go down tomorrow, or Adrian Peterson could go down next week. Who the #### knows? It's all a crap shoot.

Agreed. I'd much rather have bench players who hold value NOW than 'cuffs who COULD have value at some point.

Need more info. Can you list your kickers and defense? Thanks

I think there are a number of good reasons to roster Brown if you have McCoy but those reasons didn't just suddenly appear last night.

McCoy's concussion last year.

Brown's effectiveness in his absence last year.

New coach and offensive perspective has been well documented.

Not a big handcuff guy per se but this one makes a lot of sense to me...

LOL yeah yeah, I thought I was posting in assistant coach... wont happen again.

The reason to own Brown isn't for handcuff purposes- it's because Brown is a good RB3 this year. There will be lots of games where he'll have 10-15 touches and a score or two. Buy every Eagle you can get.

McCoy didnt take too many big hits from the 300 pounders on the d-line. He was tackled often by safeties and linebackers. If he keeps getting to second and third level defenders, the concern won't be as big.

I too like to stay far away from RB's who look like they may be in danger of seeing a heavy every-week workload.

Already moved AP for Vereen, who I like because he comes pre-injured. Considering something similar with McCoy and Dwyer.

They'll have to figure out how to rotate the backs more. No one can hold up to 450+ carries, especially at that pace. Kelly knows this; he was able to rotate more easily at Oregon because they were scoring on two out of three drives, and doing it in just a handful of plays. Both Brown and Polk will probably see many more series as the season progresses.

^^ It will throw everyone off

32 x 16 = 512

I don't think any RB has ever had over 500 touches in a season. Not a sustainable pace for a human being.

The guys who do the Training Camp update on this site were higher on Polk than they were on Brown, and I can see why after watching Brown run last night. Doesn't look like a plug and play replacement for McCoy in Kelly's system.. And McCoy only got as many touches as he did because the Eagles were up big early. The WR and TE see the ball a lot more in the second half of a closer game.

Nothing pleases me more as an owner than when my guy is pulled from the game and his backup goes in. Especially in the red zone, where it gets extra chippy. My guys can't get hurt on the sidelines.

he only had about 10 touches in the 2nd half -- he got twice that in the first half.

of course, I think they also ran twice as many plays in the first half.

This is why I always draft practice squad players. They'll be extra healthy never having seen the field when it's time for them to go in.

I am an owner and I am concerned as well. But I gotta feeling if McCoy goes down it's polk and Brown stays in his current role.

Also dont think Vick is going to last too long.

Brown is listed as the number two... and he was the backup last year.

It's Brown and he'll do awesome. Assuming he's fixed his ball security issues. If not, then Polk will get a shot.

...so should I drop Kenbrell Thompkins or Le'Veon Bell icon?
Drop Kaepernick and Charles just to show them you mean business!
