Sorry this is kind of long, if you have time please let me know what you guys think. We have 10 friends that get together every year and make up a league just for fun, no money is involved just bragging rights (btw this league is more competitive then some of my money leagues). We have one guys that always makes things difficult we had to kick him out of the league 2 years ago when we found out he had another players info (who stopped paying attention) and would stash people on his roster that he didn't want his opponents to pick up. Anyway we pushed the draft back this year for this guy because he was out of town, we end up drafting last Friday. Apparently yahoo changed its roster setup witch none of us knew...except him... We start 4 DL (linemen or linebacker) 4 DB (safty or corner) and 2 flex (linebacker linemen safety or corner) its a tackle heavy league so everybody uses those DL and felx spots for linebackers. Well he drafted 4 stud linemen then in round 21 of a 25 round draft he says with a smile on his face..."you guys better start drafting linemen yahoo changed the rules" we asked the commish what the hell was going on, he says he has no idea he just activated last years league and kept everything the same. Now keep in mind people had 5 linebackers on their teams by this point when you can only start 2 instead of 6 the rest of us agreed it was just a honest mistake by the commish and we said lets just fix it, the guys says that's cheating gets up and leaves with 4 rounds left. I could go on but i think this will give everybody a good idea of how it went down. The guy who drafted the linemen wants a redraft should we do it or just replace him?

No redraft
Change yahoo settings to as close to last year as possible
Fire commish
Hire new commish who will check rules/settings before activating league
If changes in settings can't be changed then new commish needs to let everyone know before draft.
Have rules in place to avoid these kinds of simple problems

He would stash players on his own team's roster or on the roster of the guy who stopped paying attention? If he was logging in and making transactions for another team, you were right to kick him out, but why in the world would you let him back for this season?In regard to just this year's draft, however, he was right and the you were wrong. Sure, it was a jerk move by him to let everyone else draft according to last year's rules when he could have informed everyone of Yahoo's changes, but people have the right to be a jerk. What we don't have a right to do is to change the rules after the game has already begun.

You are wrong. He was right. About the scoring. His tactics leave a lot to be desired though. Boot him, find a new owner and have a re-draft where everyone is on board with the current rules.

this would be it. That owner sounds like a shark in a pool full of guppies. It was a jerk move but he's in the right.
That said, this is a friendly league for no money...sounds like you guys don't care as much as him. Nothing wrong with that but it is going to lead to more issues down the road if both sides can't work something out.

He's a tool for walking out on the draft, and I think he should have to start week one with those roster spots empty...and the rest of the league has to go on without the players they failed to draft to meet the line-up requirements as well. And then you should all stop playing fantasy football because all of you disgrace the game.

You are wrong for multiple reasons - drafting in a league with dumb rules, drafting in a league with that many defensive players, not reading rules, allowing a guy back in the league that you had previously kicked out, wasting your time posting this, not being able to clearly identify your main subject, not being able to support your main subject, not learning how to use paragraphs in high school, etc.
The scoring is the same...i did not check to see if DL only meant linemen this year though.
