Kevin Curtis..Can he overtake Bruce this year? Future outlook?

Devery Henderson..Can he overtake Horn or Stallworth ever?

David Tyree..Can he overtake Toomer this year? Future outlook?

Chris Henry..Can he overtake TJ? Future outlook?

Kerry Colbert..Can he overtake Keyshawn? Future Outlook?

Maybe some of these guys contracts of the number 2's facilitate some moves to #2 or age could also play apart. Trying to find out the board's thoughts on these guys and the next #3 wr to move into the starting lineup

Really was interested in Chris Henry and Kevin Curtis' outlooks

Curtis vs. Bruce: Bruce was paid pretty well (6 mil)* sorry i had 4 mil here at first, thats his 07 number* to come back after being cut. Curtis was only signed to a 1.5 mil tender deal as an RFA. Bruce will be the #2 unless he gets hurt.Henderson: they want to move stallworth, but im not sure Henderson's development is the reason. Definitely one to watch.

Tyree: A special teams ace that can help out at WR when injuries deplete the starters. no chance of permanently becoming a starter.

Henry: TJ is underrated, i dont see Henry overtaking him, but maybe cutting into his targets a bit IF he can finally stay out of trouble (looking unlikely)

Colbert: Drew Carter is the guy to watch just as much as Colbert. Future outlook very cloudy - the acquisition of keyshawn tells you that they arent ready for him to be the #2 going into his third year - not good no matter how you cut it.

I'm thinking yes - in fact, probably the biggest chance of those you listed. How far off is Bruce from where Jimmy Smith was? Injuries are mounting. I think it could definitely happen.

Devery Henderson..Can he overtake Horn or Stallworth ever?

Eventually, yes, but this year? Not so sure.

David Tyree..Can he overtake Toomer this year? Future outlook?

Toomer, as evidence from his battle of the gridiron stars show - looks like he is entering the twilling of his career, if he's not there already. I like Tyree to make a splash this season. Exactly how much, is yet to be determined.

Chris Henry..Can he overtake TJ? Future outlook?

I don't think he'll overtake TJ, but he's more than capable of being a solid #3 WR. I can see him being a good free agent signing in the future.

Kerry Colbert..Can he overtake Keyshawn? Future Outlook?

I don't see Colbert overtaking Keyshawn, but I could see Colbert succeeding with another team, via free agency or trade. I think he'll test the waters once his tenure with Carolina is done.

I would also like to add Patrick Crayton, WR DAL. He is WR3 behind TO, and his issues, Glenn, with his age and health issues.

I would keep an eye out for Crayton this year.

Any cinci fans hear anything about Tab Perry competing for wr3? Read something recently about him challenging Henry.

Kevin Curtis..Can he overtake Bruce this year? Future outlook? Even if he overtakes Isaac Bruce his stats will be diluted by the mere presence of the Reverend.

Chris Henry..Can he overtake TJ? Future outlook? His character issues are over shadowing his talent level. He needs to pull his head out of his keester quick like before he flushes his career down the toilet. I wouldn't bet on him overtaking TJ anytime soon.

Kerry Colbert..Can he overtake Keyshawn? Future Outlook? Two words: Drew Carter. If Carter can remain healthy, then Colbert will likely be relegated to WR4 duty.

Barring injury, I see Curtis/Bruce as 2a/2b this year. Future Curtis is an UFA after the year. Will be interesting to see what Rams think.

Devery Henderson..Can he overtakeHorn or Stallworth ever?

I don't think he will perform his way past either one. Age and contract Stallwoorth UFA may help him out.

David Tyree..Can he overtake Toomer this year? Future outlook?

No...is a special teamer Carter and little Moss seem to be more likely candidate

Chris Henry..Can he overtake TJ? Future outlook?

On physical talent yes, outside of that no.

Kerry Colbert..Can he overtake Keyshawn? Future Outlook?

Colbert missed his chance to establish himself as the clear number 2 last year. He has claimed he was not 100%, but K. Johnson in now #2 and Drew Carter is closing in on the number 3.

Barring injury, not this year. Maybe next.

Devery Henderson..Can he overtakeHorn or Stallworth ever?

Nope, and add Haas to the mix

David Tyree..Can he overtake Toomer this year? Future outlook?

No - two words: Sinorice Moss

Chris Henry..Can he overtake TJ? Future outlook?

Not this year - maybe never. Only if he cleans up his act does he have a chance.

Kerry Colbert..Can he overtake Keyshawn? Future Outlook?

Colbert should move onto another team soon

Here are a few situations that could be added to the list

Stovall in TB

Neither Joey Galloway or Ike Hilliard have been the embodiment of health in their careers and neither is getting any younger

Buffalo

Price, Davis, Reed, Parrish, Nance

Who is #2, #3 and #4?

Vincent Jackson

Are we looking at 2007 before he is #2 (or #1). Will we have a Jackson/Parker/Woods trio in SD?

Who will eventually replace Drew Bennett?

Brandon Jones, Courtney Roby, Roydell Williams or Jonathan Orr?

You have got to love these young guys getting 2nd team reps with Young building chemistry for the future. I've already mentally discarded Tyrone Calico.

Based on raw talent alone, Henry is head & shoulders above TJ. He runs like a gazelle, deceptively fast, great vertical and has a knack for grabbing the ball out of the air (reminds me of Moss). But TJ is extremely tough and selfless. He is a team leader and always makes the tough grab. If Henry cleans up his act, I can see him splitting about evenly with Housh FFL-wise.

I like Vincent Jackson

I like Sinorice Moss as early as game 8, not a MICH WR fan.. not that Spartan WRs are much better

Holmes, in PITT

buffalo WR #2, no clue....

Bradly/Berrien/Gage CHI...

just a few of the "maybes" off the top

I respectfully disagree. Crayton did show signs of talent last year. Me not being high on Crayton has more to with how Dallas will run their offense, more than Crayton's actual talent level. Crayon is the 3WR, but Dallas plans to run the 2TE set as it base offense. I don't a see alot of opportunities coming his way.

Personally, I don't see Crayton as a good gamble at all this year.

Im very interested to watch Devery. He has the measurables to be a true #1 in the NFL.

I think Henry will be better than TJ, but Im not sure if he will put up more numbers than TJ. I think Henry will need to be traded before he can he a #2 or #1.

I like the Vincent Jackson recommendation.

I think Colbert should easily be an excellent #2.

any contract situations cloudy these races?
Curtis is UFA after 2006 with Bruce just getting a new deal. I believe (not 100% like Curtis) that Stallworth's rookie contract expires after this year and he will be an UFA also.

Parcells has publicly criticized Crayton a few times, and he'll very rarely see the field with the offense Dallas will run this year.

Couldnt disagree more with every single one of those.Devery has the speed to be a deep threat in the NFL, but hasnt shown the intelligence, route running, hands, or really anything else to suggest he can compete as a starter.

Henry has great natural talent, but its hard to picture him ever being relied on as a starter given his immaturity. If he makes it another 2-3 years in the league without getting suspended for drugs or being incarcirated, Ill be surprised.

Jackson is just another in the long line of physical freaks without the ability to play at the NFL level. Every year this board hypes them, every year they fail.

Re: Colbert, if you meant to say #4, you're right.

There are so many other exciting rooks to have a chance, IMO;

I like Brandon Marshall to come out as #2 in DEN. Rod Smith is running out, and in the next year or two this guy will be solid #2 -- or possibly #1 in next couple years depending on Javon Walker.

Also, count me in for Demetrius Williams -- my favorite WR from the draft. Hes plays big and tough. He'll make whoever is playing in BALT a stud QB :) .

Finally, I like Jason Avant. This guy IMO will take over Jabar Gaffney's role in the next year or two and Reggie Brown and him will be quite a tandem in the Eagles future.

Book 'em.

Tyrone Calico, Vincent Jackson, Clarence Moore, Johnnie Morant. The names change but the result stays the same.

I do it every year, and use a slot.. who was the TB guy last year? blind squirrel and his nuts, ya know

All of the other WR3 mentioned are an injury away from playing time. Who would you say starts at WR if Glenn or TO gets injured? This was the only angle I was coming from. I do not see much other WR talent in Dallas.

As I stated in the above post, Crayton becomes valuable if something happens to either TO or Glenn. Beyond that, I agree with you.

Seems to me that Carter is going to be among the better slot WRs this year, but as long as he's on the same team as Steve Smith, won't ever emerge as the complimentary WR. Curtis, everyone knows about.

I'm still riding the Tyrone Calico bandwagon. I don't give up despite all the evidence against him.

Calico had a rough beginning to his mini camp..."Stone Hands" had several drops as reported by the Nashville City Paper

Will ST.Louis resign Curtis? Looks like if Curtis goes to FA he might land in a more favorable position...more favorable than St.Louis...would be mighty hard. I'm very surprised he hasn't overtaken Bruce..maybe it will happen in camp..new coaching staff, so maybe that allegiance to Bruce isn't as strong. They did cut him

They cut him because his cap # was huge.

Actually, their allegiance to Isaac Bruce is $6,000,000 strong in 2006. :banned:

There's not any press on this yet, and it will depend on how his healing goes, but Chase Lyman is extremely likely to outplay Henderson if he's healthy. (Lyman blew out his ACL in rookie camp last year).Edit to add:

WR Chase Lyman has looked great in what is essentially his first real practice time as a Saint. Lyman has size that few others on the team have at this point.
