Lets talk about the IDP 2008 Rookie Class (1 Viewer)

DL - Dorsey (LSU), Long (UVA), Okam (Texas), Balmer (UNC), Ellis (USC), Jackson (USC)

LB - Conner (Penn St), Laurinatis (Ohio St), Rivers (USC), Groves (Auburn), Highsmith (LSU)

DB - Jenkins (USF), Thomas (USC), Zbowski (sic) (ND), Tribble (BC)

For FF Purposes interesting players at an early glance (apart from the ones already mentioned, in great posts BTW):

LB - Phillip Wheeler, Georgia Tech - Jonathan Goff, Vanderbilt - Vince Hall, Virginia Tech

I see Hall as an impact rookie that may not get extreme attention early (kind of a 2008 DeMeco Ryans - even though I don't expect anyone to be that good in this class) since he hasn't got top of the line speed. However, he's got good instincts and likes to throw his body around.

It looks like 2007 is turning out to be the year of the rookie DB (and especially some of the rookie corners have been productive Fantasy wise)! Maybe 2008 we'll once again see some real productive rookie LBers?

Any unknown players out there that I should study closer before draft day?

Keep an eye on Tavares Gooden (The U). Depending on what team drafts him he could be a nice surprise. I think he could fit in nicely as a WLB in a cover 2. Has great speed and size for that spot. Could do well as MLB too, but think he is better suited for a WLB role.

Also like D. Harvey (FL).
