so when drafting a wr2 it looks like the same ol suspects will be around does anybody has any news/opinions on the second group of wr's seems like the best ones are banged up but if you got a shot at getting an early wr2 the other ones would be too early to go

ward - hammy, not a lot of targets

djax - wicked, but will die this year

roy- i read strained groin already

s.moss - brunnel looks terrible so far +plus llyod

driver - pretty safe (but not attractive in a keeper league)

burress - don't know what to make of this chump

AJ - seems to be looking good but who knows

walker - never even considered him til the other day

I really like Roy, Driver and Burress. I think Williams is going to put up good numbers in that Martz offense. I hadn't heard anything about a Roy Williams injury. :football:

Off your list:Keeper: RoyRedraft: Driver

Personally i like Santana Moss as well. He seems to be slipping a bit to the late teens for WR's, when i think he could possibly break top 10-12.

How do you feel about the Washington QB's though? Does Brunell have another season left in him? And what's the prospect for Campbell behind him?

I'm banking on Brunell holding up another season. Santana would be downgraded if Campbell had to play, but JC does have a strong arm, and Moss is a good enough route runner and deep threat that he would still put up decent #'s.edit to add: (I still feel most comfortable with Driver)

Ward: Last season he didn't see the ball a whole lot, but considering that they now lost Randle El and Bettis you can count on Ward seeing more long balls, and more short yardage passes as well. Who cares if he only got 70 catches, the guy scored 11 times. Jackson: I don't know why people still draft this guy. He needs a new knee. I just crossed him off all my lists before my draftsRoy Williams: You're concerned about a pulled muscle 2 weeks before the regular season starts? Please... this guy will be top 10 this season. Not to mention it sounds like all you heard was a rumorS. Moss: Brunell has always looked terrible, always will look terrible. Ever stop and think maybe Portis has something to do with it? Lloyd is a decent target, but he won't steal enough catches to make Moss fall out of being a solid #2 WR...Driver: Who wants to keep their #2 WR anyways? LMAO. This guy is as solid as they come. Has potential to break the bottom of the top 10 this season. He's as dependable as they come as far as WRs go. Plus, he has 8% body fat. Dude's leanBurress: The most negative thing you can say about him is "I don't know about this chump"!??! First, if you don't know about him, here's his resume as a Giant: 76 1214 7 any questions? Second, a 6'5 230lb man is hardly a "chump"AJ: "Seems to be looking good but who knows" Wow. How insightful. You can say that about a lot of people. The Indianapolis Offense seems to be looking good, but who knows. Terrell Owens' build is looking good, but who knows. Larry Johnson is looking good, but who knows. Johnson is a solid #2 WR and a fantastic #3 WR. People forget that he is only ONE YEAR removed from a PROBOWL season in which he caught 80 balls for 1200 yards and 6 scores. That puts him in the "I don't know about this chump" category with Burress I guess... Walker: He's a good WR but yes you do have to worry about his knee. One good game puts him back on the radar as a #2 WR? I wouldn't rank him that high. Yes, IF HEALTHY he will be a top 20 WR, perhaps even a top 10 again, but I'd rather take a "chump" like Burress or someone with a RUMORED pulled groin after week 3 of the preseason than someone who spent all of last season on the IR

Agree with the bolded comment (for redraft). However SMoss is available in my keeper league while DD is not. Not sure how soon I would take SMoss. Thanks for your input though!

With Carson Palmer appearing to be ready to begin in week 1, I really think that T.J. Houshmandzadeh belongs on this list as well.

I know that last night's game was against a weak GB defense, but in my opinion, this guy has all the tools to make a solid number 2 WR in 10+ team leagues.

I would place him under Driver, Roy, Ward and maybe DJax (depending on health), but above the rest of the list here.

I drafted at #12 in a 12 man league. At the 3/4 turn all of these were there except Ward and Roy Williams. I would have passed on Ward anyway due to the hammy.I took: S. Moss and Driver.

alright listen ######, I just asked for a discusion not a smart ### comment, first of all it isn't a rumour, according to yahoo, roy pulled his groin at practice on monday. Second it's a 4 player keeper league so yeah i might wanna keep my second wideout. Third, I dont care about drivers body fat. Fourth, burress is a chump in my mind because he whines about not getting balls and blames the coach in a playoff loss and might be cut from the gaints next year.. he was a ##### in pitt aswell, and i know his stat line.. im aware he only caught 1 td in the last 7 games and averaged about 42 yards a game in the last 7, hardly a strong finish. Fifth, of course portis has something to do with it, but i dont think clinton is actually throwing the balls, or going 8 for 16 in his last preseason game. and 6th i dont know about AJ, never caught more then 6 tds in a season, busted last year.. new coach, now moulds, how's the run game, no dom... lots of questions.. I was simply asking how others felt about these WR's... not how do you feel about what I said about themas far as im concered you're a f'n ##### and you dont know half as much as you think you do.

News and NotesAug 29 Detroit Lions WR Roy E. Williams (groin) was held out of practice Tuesday, Aug. 29, but he is expected to be fine. The team kept him out as a precaution.
here's the scoop on Roy....doesn't sound too serious though...however he does have a history of minor injuries.

I also start to shede in Michael Clayton into this as a top tier #3 with possibility of breaking into a solid #2. With reports that he is full speed and healthy, and Gruden's love of a quick passing game, I think he is ready to break out this season. Plus, Simms is looking more confident this year.

Note-I have Clayton as my #4 behind Gates, Driver, and Evans. We have an accelerated TE Bonus, thus Gates being in there all the time.
