Dems do not want people of color sitting at the table if they have their own minds and thought process. They want people of color who drink their kool-aid and march in lock step. Winsome Sears is a person of color the Dems should honor and respect yet they are bashing her as a female Uncle Tom.
The long term problem is the strategy essentially neutralizes Kamala Harris even further from being a viable candidate.
If you push the narrative that "Winsome Sears is just not black enough" ( You cannot take her race and skin color from her, all you can do is try to do is drive the tagline that she doesn't meet a culturally acceptable criteria) then you have the knotty issue of Harris marrying Doug Emhoff, a white man, and raising his children from another marriage.
There is already a cultural sensitivity/rage element to many black women watching black men dating/marrying/having children with non black women. There are nuances in every minority community that establishment Democrats just pretend don't exist. ( When is the last time that Nancy Pelosi had lunch in the hood and talked to people there?)
Who are we kidding? There are lots of limousine liberals who turn up their noses at minorities and have no idea of the conflicts and struggles and intercultural issues in those communities.
There will be old guard type black voters who will hold that against Harris. She doesn't meet a culturally acceptable criteria. She is raising a white man's children. If Nate Silver of 538 brings this up in internal meetings, he's a racist. But you can't heat check identity politics on functional and practical voter engagement strategy.
The point is to win. The point is not to be ideologically pure in the pursuit of winning. If you don't win your election, nothing else you talk about is going to matter.
Only Herman Wouk really made a mainstream attempt to cover one of the major flaws of Hitler's Third Reich from a "winning" perspective. Every Jewish person sent to a death camp was another potential soldier not fighting on their front lines. More people not in industry building equipment ( Much of their war effort was still horse powered) And sapping valuable resources to house, guard, process, and administer the Holocaust. If the point was to win, then Hitler needed that manpower badly. But that wasn't viable enough for him. He had to be ideologically pure in the pursuit of winning a war against the entire world.
Much of this is why I keep saying truly talented people with real options refuse to work for the Obama/Biden/Harris/Rice regime. It's hard enough to do your job just for the sake of the challenges of the job. There is no functional reason for needing constant check ins with "loyalty oaths" to make sure you are ideologically pure enough.
Kamala Harris as CA AG suppressed evidence to keep young black men in prison. She supported Biden, who authored all of the major Crime Bills in American political history, that had a ground swell of putting young black men in prison. Biden also courted the favor of old guard Party segregationists and a high ranking KKK power broker. Then Harris slept with a married black man, 30 years older than her, as a side chick to get ahead politically. And now she's married to a white man and raising his children from a previous marriage.
There are all kinds of issues here where black voters can challenge Harris' "culturally acceptable criteria"
If they voice this, they will be smeared as not black enough, and then be doxxed and attempts will be made to try to get them cancelled frm their careers. However no one is willing to ask if many of them don't see Harris as black enough based on the criteria laid down by establishment Democrats themselves.
This is the problem of the cancel culture. It inevitably operates as a boomerang.
