Lineup Dominator (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking typically you know who you're starting but if you are in a situation where you come down to a coin flip for a starter, does this program offer any value?

At times I overthink my lineups so I'm thinking maybe this could help in decision making when I'm floundering?

Stupid technology.

In my experience, the greatest benefit of the LD is not in my selection of weekly starters, but in my "in-season" team management. The trade dominator is built into it, and it keeps me up to date on the weekly (Edit: Weekly overall season projections based on my particular scoring system) projections and available players.

I love it. :banned:

I like how LD predicts my opponent's total, too, giving me an idea of how agressive I may need to be in my decisions.

i just loaded lineup dominator. It wants me to start steve smith and housh u mama. Whats the deal with that?

edit to add: Sorry, Im a moron, i was looking at the wrong week.

Downloaded, looked, no IDP, deleted. :(
Mine has IDP in it.
Yeah, so does mine.He didn't customize it. But, this is typical NT BS, so get used to it.
How to add the IDP?
It's in the readme file... but I'm in a good mood, so:File - SetupShould come up to General; if not, click on the General tab.Under the Starters heading, place your league lineup requirements (including IDP categories).

Not to moan but wouldn't this be just as easily doable as a flash file? If you skin an interface and get it to work with the same database couldn't you generate a mac version?

I know I can run windows on my mac but honestly, it's not that I don't want to - I just don't have the room with all the other software I use.

FYI - I'm not a PC hater at all but if you must, go ahead - flame away.

Thanks, you're not such a "Jerk". :)

I look at it as more of a validation tool than anything. I almost always have my lineup picked alreadfy before the new version is available for the week. If my picks conflict with LD, sometimes I'll do some extra research to see if I missed something (a bad matchup, an injury, etc).

Plus, it's fun to track LD's grading of each teams overall power ranking and see the projected score for the week vs my opponent.

(Actually, this was using DD for week 1 projections, since LD wasn't out yet. But it's related because it has to do with FBG projections in both programs.)

In one of my leagues, it had the game projected right on the money for me (give or take half a point), but in the other league, it projected my opponent exact, but my WRs stunk up the joint and left me with a L. I was impressed that out of 2 leagues and 2 games, it got 3 out of 4 scores right (within a point).

The bottom line, is that it is a tool...just like many other tools that are provided here. YOU still have to make the important decisions, but this tool gives some general guidance. It is not fool-proof, nor is it almighty, but it does its job very well in my opinion.

YMMV, but on the whole, I believe this is one of the very best benefits that FBG's offers. :banned:

EDIT: It is just too bad that it does not like one or two of my teams! :D

And it's not just for Lineup decisions despite its name...Excellent tool for comparing free agents who might strengthen your team during bye weeks, defensive team by committee (looking a few weeks ahead), etc.Gets BETTER as the data increases each week as far as factoring in SoS.

I agree 110%!!! Very true! ;)

It's a tool based on FBG projections. You still have to use some personal judgement. For example, LD this week tells me to use Josh Brown over John Kasay but less than a point. However, do you use Kasay because there is a 60% chance of rain in Seattle or do you use Brown because of the uncertainty of the Carolina offense? That's where your decision has to be made.

I loaded it up last night to play with it. When I went to look at the Help that comes with it, it was for the Draft Dominator.

Anyone else have this issue, or did I just load it wrong? Also, is there anyway to get the data for week 1, so I can see if I set it correctly eventhough I lost in all my leagues. Injuries are killing me!

It is so strange that the DD tells me I drafted so great, but can't win in any leagues! The Line-up Dominator has me losing in two leagues eventhough I drafted so well! lol

Things change fast around here.

I like it. Very useful, especially for those who utilize FBG's projections. You can take a glance at how your whole league is expected to perform.

But most useful is in how it applies your league's scoring rules to determine who are the best plays (PPR, bonuses, etc...). Generally it makes for some pretty efficient lineups. Usually, I'll come up with my own lineup and compare it to what the Lineup Dominator tells me to do as an alternate opinion.

Also very useful, like someone else mentioned, is in determining who are the best players available in the free agency at a glance based on FBG projections.

Things change fast in general with FF.
