Hi everyone,

I'm super pleased to announce that the Footballguys.com NFL Depth Charts are now linkable to the player pages. Please note the link from the site needs to be updated, but for now you can access them from here:

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/apps/depthchart.php

All thanks and props go to our friend and database guru Doug Drinen. Thanks Doc!

Here's how you can help us.. We'd like to know how we can improve these even further. We're looking for some feedback and input regarding how to make the depth charts more customizable for this coming season. No promises, but we always welcome any constructive comments that you might have to help us make our site better than it is today.

One idea we're kicking around is putting a list of the positions we cover in the depth charts (sorry, no offensive linemen) that you can "check" to enable/show when accessing the depth charts. Help us define what is useful and what you would like to have at your fingertips when perusing the depth charts.

Just having the players linked to the player pages was a big step forward here.. so if we're able to do something more value-added then you can help us with your feedback and comments.

Thanks!

Quick question Bob. You have a few guys here and there listed in a salmon color (not injury replacement red). What does that indicate? The depth chart key doesn't mention it.

ETA - no more need for RFA next to Schaub

Add Adrian Peterson as CHI RB2.

Add Bubba Franks as GB TE1

Akers PHI s/b in blue, yes?

Small stuff... but great work as always. :goodposting:

Let me take a look at these.. I think the color thing may just be an anomaly.. To my knowledge, Peterson and Franks both are/were UFAs.. I'll check on these though, thanks for the head's up.

Peterson signed an extension before the 2006 season, through 2009.Franks signed an extension before the 2005 season, through 2011.Not trying to take anything away from your great work though. You do an amazing job of keeping up with all the player movement. I keep this stuff on a spreadsheet, so I know how much effort it is. I'm often finding things I've missed because I see it on your depth chart.

How hard would it be to change the format to show more detail?

WR1 C. Johnson, #85, G. Holt, #16, S. Green, #18

WR2 T. Houshmandzadeh, #84, C. Henry, #15, R. McNeal, #10

WR3 C. Henry, #15, R. McNeal, #10

This would tell us the true back-ups in case of injury or hand cuffs for larger leagues.
