**Lions at Vikings** (-1.5, 50.5) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

I think I would take the over,in spite of the number.
The Lions with a point and a half look pretty tasty.
I wonder if the destruction of Dallas last week coupled with the loss of Hutchinson will have an effect.
I think during the bye The Lions focus was on last years highway robbery against Dallas and an all out effort for revenge(which is a thing in The NFL)
I wonder how much that may have taken out of The Lions emotionally.
Or if that emotion carries over this week
You'd think against the rival Vikings it could.
Vikings coming off a bye so they've had the same preparation time The Lions had for Dallas.
Should be a great game, for sure a "fantasy gold game"
I'm looking at Yogi Berra's greatest quotes on my wall..."The more a team wins, the more likely they are to lose"
Perfect Vikings aren't after this week...In overtime...

Detroit Lions- 37
Minnesota Vikings- 34

If AH was still ok I'd definitely see this as a potential let down game. But I think they are determined to show that they are not a one player team. Especially against an undefeated team on the road.

Super excited about this game. I'm on MIN -1.5

And despite this game going over 5 of 6 times in the Goff era, this week I'm under 50.5

Through 20-career games in franchise history, RB Jahmyr Gibbs ranks:

- T-2nd in games with multiple TDs (4)
- 3rd in rushing TDs (13)
- 3rd in total TDs (15)
- 3rd in scrimmage yards (1,713)
- 4th in rushing yards (1,293)

(without looking it up, would be shocked if Billy Sims & Barry Sanders weren't #2 + #1 in every category)

Among all NFL QBs this season, Jared Goff ranks:

- 1st in yards/attempt (8.93)
- t-2nd in 20+ yard completions (19)
- t-2nd in 300-yard games (2)
- 3rd in completion % (71.1%)
- 5th in QB rating (105.3)
- 5th in passing yards/game (266.0)

Among all NFL players this season, JAMO ranks:

- t-1st in 50+ yard receptions (3)
- 2nd in receiving avg. (22.8)
- t-2nd in games with 75+ receiving yards (4)
- t-2nd in 25+ yard TD receptions (3)

When teams have thrown passes in the end zone against the Lions this year, they are 1-of-14 (7.1%) for 10 yards, 1 TD & 5 INTs for a 23.8 QB rating.

S Kerby Joseph is the only player to have 4 INTs in the end zone in a season since 2006 (as far back as the database goes.)

Detroit Lions 3rd Down Defensive Rankings:

• 0 Touchdowns Allowed (1st)
• -0.44 EPA/PLAY (3rd)
• -0.48 EPA/Pass (6th)
• -0.17 EPA/Rush (7th)
• -15 YAC Over Expectation (2nd)
• 2.7 Yards Average Separation (3rd)
• 1.46 Rushing Yards After Contact/Attempt (1st)

That defense doesn't exist anymore.

Today we'll find out what the Detroit Lions defense looks like sans Aidan Hutchinson.

Enjoy the game today folks, should be a good one. For my money it's the best game on the docket. I won't be able to see it until I watch it on dvr tonight.

The theatre class I am taking through the VA is staging a production in midtown, and yours truly wrote the final scene. I play a psychologist treating a returning combat veteran.

According to a report published by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in 2016, which analyzed 55 million veterans' records from 1979 to 2014, the current analysis indicates that an average of 20 veterans die from suicide per day.[7]

A study released in 2022 found that as many as 44 veterans die on average per day from suicide when accounting overlooked causes of death that are aligned with suicidal and self harm behavior, which is 2.4 times greater than the official estimate.[8][9]

A 2021 study by Brown University estimated that 30,177 veterans of post-9/11 conflicts had died by suicide. When compared to the 7,057 personnel killed in the conflicts, at least four times as many veterans died by suicide than personnel were killed during the post-9/11 conflicts.[10]

According to a 2022 report by the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, nearly half of U.S. military service members have seriously considered suicide since joining the Armed Forces.

If you know a veteran who is struggling with their mental health, please encourage them to go to the nearest VA medical center.

The VA understands veterans needs better than their civilian counterparts. You/the family may feel helpless to do anything, but I promise, they can help.

The Vikings have only trailed for 3 minutes and 26 seconds all season, so Sam Darnold has not played from behind. That's a big reason for how well Darnold has played.

That changes today.

Lions 34, Vikings 20.

I have no idea what is going to happen but all this talk about chess matches, best offense vs best defense ect Thats cute but does not matter.

What matters is if the Vikings defense can beat their blocks against the best offensive line in the NFL or if they get run over.

Should be a great game. The Lions will be forced to throw the ball more than they have in the last three games. Everything points to a high-flying high scoring game, despite both teams playing well on defense this year. I always thought Sam Darnold looked better than his reputation, he just needed the right system.

Without Hutch, the strength of the Lions defense is the interior DL and the safeties. Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch looking like the best duo in the league will have to come up big with a turnover or two this week for the Lions to win. Vikings need to pick on the corners and run outside.

Offensively both these teams are stacked. Overall the Lions are more dangerous, but Jefferson is the most dangerous weapon. Too many variables to really predict. This game is a tossup.

My crazy Jamo Parlay of the Week:

Jamo 100+ receiving
Jamo TD
Saint 60 yards
Monty TD
Gibbs 40 yards

+4950

Oh Dan Campbell. That **** doesn’t work against good teams lol

Bad timing. He needed to wait to catc

I don't know off the top of my head what teams it's worked against, but the Chiefs last year was one of them...and they were 9 of 11 prior to today.
Poor timing. At the beginning of the game that had to be on the top of the Vikings mind.
