Lions-Browns:

There has been a Brian Calhoun sighting. 3rd and 2 swing pass 2 yards and a first down, then no gain on a running play, he tried to break it outside and could not turn the corner.

Just so people know:

No Roy (hamstring), Furrey (knee), Hanson (hamstring) for the Lions tonight.

Nothing serious, just precautionary.

The Browns had to call a time out on 3rd and 2...got the first...had a delay of game penalty...then had to call time out on the next play because of switching personnel.

Bell for 21 yards, excellent trap block by Mulitalo, nobody near him until he was tackled. That blocking was not seen all last year by the Lion guards.

Wimbley looks great for the Browns, Got Bell in the backfield for a loss.

Troy Walters draws a pass interference. I think he will be the 5th WR.

Nice 8 yard run by Calhoun.

What I am enjoying with this game is that Detroit has committed to working on the run game which is something we need to address this preseason.

Beautiful last three plays by both Kitna and his receivers!

4 plays, 66 yards, :28 seconds!

Byrd (who was shaken up) makes the PAT, but Micah Knorr handles the kickoff.

Nice drive for the Lions with a minute left, 4 plays, 66 yards, TD pass from Kitna to McDonald.

Kitna is sharp, 12/16, 137 yards, 1 TD.

Lions pick off Frye, bad pass, Gerald Alexander picks it. The Lions are +3 in turnovers.

The next play, Calvin is double teamed, draws pass interference.

Anderson back in at QB for Cleveland.

He looked pretty sharp, the drive stalling on 3rd & 3 (after 2 runs by Harrison) with Wilson dropping the ball.

Dawson's kick hooks wide left, and the Browns stay off the board.

J.T. to T.J.! :) (Edit: for 20 yards.)

(Detroit still driving, after a 4th & 1 fake to Duckett and scramble by Sullivan)

Lion backup guard Frank Davis hurt...thats 2 guards down tonight. This is what happened to the line last year.

Duckett reached low and made a great catch on a screen pass...and bowled over a defender.

Duckett looked impressive that drive, especially the TD.

Of course, this is against 2nd & 3rd stringers, but it made a nice change from last week's fumble in the end zone.

Ken Dorsey in at QB for Cleveland. Fans and announcers wondering if we won't get a look at Quinn to bring some life to the 4th quarter.

Lions LB Anthony Cannon near the end of that drive. I'll give updates if I hear them.

Meanwhile, Dorsey looked impressive that drive. The Browns still had problems inside the redzone, with two more penalties and two breaks (that Sanders recovered his fumble and the PI call against Ramzee "Mr. Irrevelant" Robinson).

Orlovsky in at QB; quick 3 and out after a holding penalty against Detroit.

Quinn now in for Cleveland; the crowd erupts
