Nicholas J. Cotsonika, of the Detroit Free Press, reports the Detroit Lions have never beaten the Washington Redskins on the Redskins' home field. The Lions are 0-20 in Washington.

I just thought this was kinda ...wow.

I have a feeling THIS years lions team will be the first.

Wow, That is amazing. (well not really, it is the Lions) I agree with you that this will be the first. Good job by a Detroit journalist to bring this to light this week. Whattya bet this is on the bulletin board in Lion country?

Not surprisingly, I believe that when the Lions beat the Skins recently it ended the longest active losing streak between two teams.

EDIT: Lions only played one game that decade at Washington.

For the Lions fans that think this stat will change, I'd like to point out that San Diego was 1-7 in Lambeau before they played in week 3.

These type of stats are strange, but there is something to them.
