Really? Behind Jones. And who are the starting corners now in Detroit?awesome love it, bell will be great in detroit
That is nice. Wish the Browns had that 'problem'.I guess it will be Dre opposite Champ. That's tough.
i want to see denver trade up and get ahead of green bay now.irons would also be a nice fit, and give those 1.04 owners something to wood about.Looks like Denver will be drafting a RB. Prepare to revise your mock drafts.
This is a ploy to motivate Kevin Jones.(somebody had to say it first)
Disagree. Everything out of Detroit has been along the lines of "Detroit won't spend a high round pick on a RB. Love Jones, think he'll be back for Week 1. Will acquire a cheap veteran for insurance."Bell sure seems like an insurance policy to me.So much for KJ's readiness for Week 1.
Mike Bell owners should use this opportunity to trade him to unsuspecting owners before it's too late.good trade, now the Broncos have less on offense.
I can't believe I'm going to say this, butmaybe cj, that would be great
By the way, this was from a blog with the Lions beat writer on Feb 11. Not still up on the blog, but it still up on the blogger:Disagree. So there you go: T. Bell = InsuranceThere is an internet report that the Lions "now" believe they'll lose RB Kevin Jones for up to half of the 2007 season. The report makes it sound like there's been some new information about his Lisfranc injury, but that's not true. Jones remains in a boot, but has already started the early process of his rehabilitation. He is right on schedule to return for the start of training camp. The Lions are looking to acquire a veteran running back in free agency as insurance, but right now, every indication is that Jones will be back for the start of the season.
What could you get for M Bell? You are probably better keeping him and hope he can somehow be a starter.Edit: Wait what about Jamal Lewis becoming a Bronco?Mike Bell owners should use this opportunity to trade him to unsuspecting owners before it's too late.good trade, now the Broncos have less on offense.
They should include them drafting a RB with the last name Bell. It's a common enough name that eventually Shanny will hit the lottery if he keeps getting RBs named Bell.Kyle Bell colorado state or George Bell from V Tech enter the draft?Looks like Denver will be drafting a RB. Prepare to revise your mock drafts.
They could trade witrh GB though. Javon Walker for the #16 slot.i want to see denver trade up and get ahead of green bay now.irons would also be a nice fit, and give those 1.04 owners something to wood about.Looks like Denver will be drafting a RB. Prepare to revise your mock drafts.
Good stuff from the Broncos. They got rid of two guys they were basically done with anyways, and now have arguably the best cornerback tandem in the league.

Don't laugh, but don't be surprised if they take Johnson. Seriously. After he ran the 4.3 40 at the combine, a lot of whispers were heard around here.Brady Quinn to the Lions.Good trade for both teams.I wouldn't be surprised to see Shanahananahan trade up for Marshawn Lynch.
I put that in a Mock a while back and wouldn't be the least bit shocked if that's how it went down. That said, I think that they're going to need to address the long term QB situation sooner then later, if not with QUinn in rd 1 then perhaps w/ Stanton in rd 2.Don't laugh, but don't be surprised if they take Johnson. Horrible trade for the Lions.Great trade for the BroncosBrady Quinn to the Lions.Good trade for both teams.I wouldn't be surprised to see Shanahananahan trade up for Marshawn Lynch.
Given the current roster, it wouldn't surprise me if they took CJ. In fact it would be the RIGHT move. But if they pick up Kevin Curtis like is rumored, then it would surprise me.I put that in a Mock a while back and wouldn't be the least bit shocked if that's how it went down. yeah, he's better than any RB outside of Peterson for the 1st rounder...and the 3rd rounder is nothing to a team that used a 3rd rounder on Clarett. The Burner to DenverTurner to the Broncos
Bly didn't fit their scheme and their top two RB's are coming back from significant injury.Horrible trade for the Lions.Great trade for the BroncosBrady Quinn to the Lions.Good trade for both teams.I wouldn't be surprised to see Shanahananahan trade up for Marshawn Lynch.
The Chargers would never let him go to a division rival.yeah, he's better than any RB outside of Peterson...and the 3rd rounder is nothing to a team that used a 3rd rounder on Clarett. The Burner to DenverTurner to the Broncos
Good call. Denver homers, or anyone who knows linemen well, is this guy a difference maker? Not too familiar with this guy.Why is nobody talking about Foster here? It's not like the trade was Bell for Bly straight up.
Foster was benched mid-season and only got his job back when Adam Meadows got hurt.Good call. Denver homers, or anyone who knows linemen well, is this guy a difference maker? he had a disapointing year. IIRC, he was benched for performance reasons towards the end of the season. I think he's too big for what the Broncos are looking for in a lineman; I never understood why they drafted him so highly in the first place. From the Broncos perspective, they offloaded two players who had no real future with the club, for a pro-bowl CB.From the Lions perspective, they off loaded a high priced CB who didn't fit their system well and got depth and speed at RB, and a lineman who can do what they want him to do. In reality, it's not a bad move for Det either.Good call. Denver homers, or anyone who knows linemen well, is this guy a difference maker? FWIW, I hate Foster. But IMO he will be a better RT at Detroit then in Denver. Denver's system required him to be mobile, and that is not something he can do to their standards. Detroits system doesn't require that so I think he will improve with them.Foster was benched mid-season and only got his job back when Adam Meadows got hurt.Good call. If they got their rival's 1st and 3rd round picks, I think the Chargers would take it and look for a reasonable replacement. The Chargers would never let him go to a division rival.yeah, he's better than any RB outside of Peterson...and the 3rd rounder is nothing to a team that used a 3rd rounder on Clarett. The Burner to DenverTurner to the Broncos
I think you're probably right. I can't see them drafting Joe Thomas now. Between Foster, Backus, and Jon Scott (who played well down the stretch), they aren't looking terrible at the position.FWIW, I hate Foster. But IMO he will be a better RT at Detroit then in Denver.
