List an "Under The Radar" Starter Who'll Have Big Wk 13 (1 Viewer)

turn or burn
Chicago D/ST

Reasons:

1) St Louis has only scored 44 points on the road all year (less than 9 pts/game) including being shut out twice on the road. In fact, against Detroit they only scored 17 points. Even Cleveland doubled that output against the Lions.

2) The Bears will game plan to stop Steven Jackson (much like they bottled up AP last week), which will force Boller to beat them. Also, Boller has a penchant for throwing the pick six and has thrown several this year, as recently as last week when Seattle had a 65 yd INT return

3) Knox & Hester are both dangerous return men and are due to break one

4) The Bears are much tougher at home than the road and were just embarrassed by the Vikings

I like a low scoring, 24-10 type of game. I wouldn't bench a Top 5-7 defense for the Bears, but I think they are a low #1 D/ST this week.

Felix Jones. He's not a starter, but...

I think Dallas has realized that getting Felix on the field makes them a much more explosive offense for the playoff push. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts averaging 15 touches per game going forward.

I am taking starter to mean someone I'd start on my fantasy team. I think LJ is going to score big this week against DET. I am probably going to play him over Felix. I don't really need the win this week so it isn't much of a gamble.

Define starter - normal starter, playing this week as a starter, fantasy starter?

In other words, how deep of a sleeper are you digging for?

Good question. I can see how this would be a bit unclear. Looking for a player or D/ST that could be used as a fantasy starter this week that wouldn't normally be an "auto-play". Basically, a normal bench player that will "step up" this week and perform like a solid starter.

with Briggs now out, and Tillman, not sold. I had picked them up to play them, but with Ryan's injury going with Eagles. Gibson, Amendola, and Martin are getting better each week. If Boller has time he'll be effective & Cutler can put them in bad spots

Definitely appreciate the other side of the coin as well. Certainly fair points on your part.

Why do you think LJ will have a big game against DET when Benson is starting. I think Benson is the better back and will get at least 75% of the carries if not more.

I am all over Norwood this week in my PPR. I think the Eagles run defense is over-rated especially with what they have been forced to do with their LB's. If Norwood can catch 5 or so check-downs it could be a nice pt total.

Also, Maroney is once again getting no respect in most of the rankings I see.

Of course my other option is Kevin Smith and he looks done to me. :hophead:

I agree here w Briggs unlikely to start- Steven Jax will run rough shod on this defense if his back is not an issue. This Bears team is in shambles and they are starting the Urlacher vs Cutler distractions to take focus off the stink.

-Jonathan Stewart vs. the Bucs

-David Garrard vs. Texans

-Jay Cutler vs. Rams

-Jamaal Charles vs. Denver

-Pierre Garcon vs. Tennessee

At QB - Cutler as long the weather cooperates, VY indoors with the Colts focused on Chris Johnson, Kyle Orton against the Chiefs spotty secondary, Alex Smith in the new-look shotgun/spread passing offense.

How about Chris Redman?
How about Chris Redman
Looked pretty good running the pass offense for coming in cold. He has especially good chemistry/timing with Gonzo - it showed up big time in the two minute drill that Gonzo is prominent on his mind when he is going through his reads. He could have a solid game because the Falcons might have to go pass happy without Turner anchoring the running game, but there's a risk of the Eagles DL and McDermott's blitzes really causing a nightmare game for Redman, because Tampa was sometimes getting guys to Redman untouched last week - six sacks.

Stewart looks like a great play vs TB with D Will either less than 100% or out.

have to agree, 1000% !Pierce is out, the defense is deflated/depleted..Giants defense now looks more like Scab Football replacements than anything else.

watching NFL live yesterday, they spoke about the stretch offense that Denver used last week, getting the Rb's outside ,on the edges where they can do some damage. Moreno ate them up using this technique. Now, Moreno is good and all, but he is not the speed demon that Felix Jones is.

this could be a huge game from Jones this week.

So you don't think you'd ever start Felix on your FF Team? Guess as a Giants fan you have a no Cowboys policy :hijacked: I agree with Grahamburn... especially since Jerrah has been telling Garrett to get Felix more involved. This has been a disappointing season for Felix without a doubt.

On the kicking side, I really like Shayne Graham who had a big week last week but faces off against Detroit this week.

Playing inside a dome and despite only having 2 games with more than 1 FGM, I expect a big offensive output from the Bengals that should give him 1-2 FGs and 4-5 XP. I fully expect at least 1 FGM in the 20-29 range with another FGM in the 30-50 range depending on how good the offense gets.

Week 10: Longwell kicked 2 FGs with 1 being 20-29 yards and 1 being 30+

Week 11: Dawson kicked 2 FGs with 1 being 20-29 yards and 1 being 40+

Last Week: Crosby kicked 2 FGs of 20-29 yards

Game is at Cinci, so no dome.

I almost never start him...3 guys...timeshare...really not as explosive as we all hype him to be.Of course, I play AD, Grant, and Derrick Mason ahead of him every week as my 2 RBs and flex...tough to beat that.

PS- live in Dallas. See every minute of Felix. read every column about him. Just don't see this amazing hype we all put into him.

I def think Caddy could put in a very solid week. Not enough confidence to start him but won't be surprised if he outscores my starters.
