Live Call-In Audible: The Drive Block 10 PM eastern tonight (1 Viewer)

There is a lot of talk around here about 85, can you weigh in? Is it Ocho Cinco or Mucho Stinko? Great show, keep up the great work

My apologies for the long questions! Answer whatever you'd like.

1) You're probably getting sick of this question from me EVERY week but what's up with Zach Miller? Did the Raiders sign Ben Troupe so he could block and Z-Mill can catch some balls?

Bloom, you have him ranked in the top-10 this week again. He caught NOTHING last week against the Bills w/ only 2 targets. Do you still think he's better in the short and long term than someone like Owen Daniels?

2) What's are your takes on the Matt Millen firing? With no GM and Rod Marinelli walking on thin ice this seems like the perfect opportunity for Bill Cowher to come back. Your thoughts?

3) My 10-team money PPR league has our roster limit set to 16. I already have Big Ben and Kurt Warner. Those 8 sacks last week against the Eagles make me nervous. Our league allows for one waiver claim a week and it goes through Friday night at midnight. J.T. O'Sullivan is sitting there. Do I take him or is carrying 3 QBs on a roster stupid?

1) What are your thoughts on the following WR for dynasty:

Mike Walker-Jax

Keenan Burton- STL

Earl Bennet- Chi

Harry Douglas- ATL

2) Big "IF" but if Chris Henry stays out of trouble what kind of value will he have this year and beyond?

Hey fellas, couple questions for you

1) What should we expect from McGahee in the upcoming weeks and later in the season? All in all he had a solid first week back that wouldve been very good if he didnt get poked in the eye @ the GL a couple times. It seems to me hell be the focal point of this run first-Cameron offense once hes 100% healthy, though he will lose some carries to McClain and Rice.

2) Is it best to hold onto Chris Chambers or sell high? Hes only 45th in NFL in targets with 17, and has only 6 catches on those targets, but has 4 TDs. I know hes on a potent offense, but there are plenty of options there and I think he might be at peak value right now. FWIW, Ive always viewed him in the same category as Ocho Cinco, Lee Evans, and Santana Moss as guys you only draft when you cant pass them up because they hit the milk carton every month due to inconsistency.

Gracias!

PS - just so you know, yinz guys are getting priority over watching Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia tonight, so please answer both - signed, devoted Drive Blocker

Is Big Ben the answer in redraft for the season and playoffs or is it time to look to get off a sinking ship for someone better? Who?My league counts -1 sacks against and -2 INT. Garrard and Quinn on the bench.

What the heck went on in Chicago last week for Earnest Graham.. I'm well aware that Dunn is also there in the backfield but 12 carries for 16 yards.. Do we give Graham a chance this week against the Packers who just let another physical running back in Barber torch them last week? or should we look at other options??

TIA..

What is up with Braylon? Will he ever turn it around this year? What happens when and if Quinn comes in? Maybe the return of Stallworth helps Braylon?

I know he's had a case of the dropsies, but I think he may do some things against the Bengals. If not though, is it time to cut ties with my #1WR?

TIA guys! Keep doing what your doing!

I need a take from Cecil "no fade" Lammey, Andrew "Mr. Vegas" Garda and The Great Sigmund Bloom.

I became a Steeler hater after last week's abysmmal performance against Philly and have grave concerns about the O-line. I just traded Big Ben for Trent Edwards in one deal and Fast Willie for Reggie Bush in another. I'm now thinking of moving Santonio Holmes for Lee Evans. Looking at the Steelers brutal schedule, including weeks 14-16, for fantasy playoffs, is there any reason not to bail out on the Steelers offensive personnel for fantasy purposes?

I play in a 16 team league. No PPR. 6 pts/TD Standard yardage pts.

Keep up the great work! Really enjoy the show.

QB Changes and their impacts on their offenses... Discuss

T.Jackson OUT, Gus Frerotte IN

T.Thigpen OUT, D. Huard IN

M.Bulger OUT, T.Green IN

D.Anderson almost OUT, B.Quinn almost IN

In what direction is Edge heading? His numbers have been pretty pedestrian, but if he had managed to find the endzone on a couple of 10 yard runs in the first 3 games, his owners would be feeling pretty good right now. As expected Hightower has vultured the all of the goal line opportunities, and there's word that the Cardinals want to get Tim even more involved.

Bottom line: is it time to move Edge while he still has any value or would this be 'selling low'?

Where are we ranking Ronnie Brown among RBs going forward? Is he a sell high or can he be a RB1 down the stretch?

Was Steve Slaton a one week wonder or do you expect a few more games with similar numbers this season?

In a 12 team league are the NYG D/ST good enough to hold on to during the bye week?

ETA: Any down low info on the Plax situation?

Let's talk Fast Eddie Royal. This weekend's game is the most important of his young season from a fantasy perspective. He will leave Kansas City either as a credible threat in your lineup or "that guy who caught all of Marshall's passes in Week 1". Will we Royal owners be able to trade him for a share of Lehman Brothers stock next week?

What do you think the value of Ryan Torain is right now in a redraft. I haven't heard any definitive updates on when he may come back and when he does come back, will he step into an already muddy situation or is he the answer to the 3 headed monster that is the current Den RB.

I'm 3-0 and have no shot at waiver wire picks once they show something, so I took and chance and grabbed him early hoping that DEN will ride him for the stretch much like NE did with Maroney last season.

Great show, keep up the good work.

What's going on with Marvin Harrison? He seems like the perfect guy to target for a buy-low trade...unless his game has truly become as pedestrian as his stats are this season.

Have we seen the beginning of the end of a great career or is the end already here?

Thanks. I'll hang up and listen.

Excellent show gents :hifive:

I think Seattle is far from done this year however it may hinge on a couple of WR's returning from injuries.

Branch and Engram are scheduled to return to the field week 5.

Will either make an impact right away?

Also, if they are still sitting out on the WW who will be the better fantasy WR to go after?

TIA

I'd love to hear you guys discuss Torry Holt. It seems the general pre-season consensus was that this team would be bad, forced to throw, and that the O-line couldn't be any worse than last year...so people assumed Holt was good for something like 85/1100/7. At his current rate he'll finish with 60/650/5. While I don't expect him to be top 10 WR, surely he'll perform as a WR2 (perhaps finishing around WR 20). So is he a "buy low" or a "stay-away"???

Hi Guys,

What's going on with Duece McAllister, he looks healthy on the sidelines? Is P. Thomas going to continue to get the short-yardage td's?

Is Edge James done, he looks pretty slow these days.

Which 3 of these WR's would you start? T. Holt, R. Meacham, E. Royal, J. Gage, S. Rice

Bloom- how do you do your projections as compared to others, some of your projections are quite a bit different from the others. If I had followed your projections, I would have started R. Brown over E. James.

thanks guys- I love the show-

First: Cecil, please sing the Butters theme song from South Park again this week. It's silky smooth.

Second: Butters needs Awesome-O-like help at WR. Let's talk about Kevin Curtis and the Seattle duo of Engram & Branch. There are still a few serviceable WRs out there on the waiver wire in smaller leagues... guys like Bernard Berrian, Derrick Mason, Justin Gage... people of that ilk. Assuming owners aren't desperate to fill slots now, would you stash Curtis / Engram / Branch over the healthy guys and wait it out? Or do you see someone like Berrian keeping up with the MASH unit's productivity once they return. Where would you rank them, say, Week 7 onward?

What do you think about these deeper guys you liked earlier like Forsett and Parmele?

Are you giving up on Vince Young now?

Malcolm Kelly?

Time to pick up O'Connell?

Hey guys, going to try to listen and maybe even call tonight...

Was wondering your take on some sleeper WRs for the week... had Bryant Johnson lined up to cover a bye, but he's iffy with a hamstring now. Antonio Bryant? Bernard Berrian? (bad matchup) Lance Moore?

Also, I'm wondering if Cecil has been back to the store yet where the guy didn't know who Marshawn Lynch was.

Love the podcast...this'll be my first live listen.

Need help with your thoughts on a flex play in my league at work:

This week I pinched Mendenhall and Buckhalter, but I also have McFadden, Tim Hightower and Pierre Thomas on my bench. Assuming Buckhalter players, who would be your pick, if he doesn't what would be your second? It's a bad matchup for both Mendenhall and Buckhalter, but there's no guarantees with Hightower or Pierre. For reference my other plays are Marshall, Eddie Royal, MJD, and Marshawn Lynch (Calvin too...but he's on a bye).

Thanks Guys

GO BRONCOS!

There was a TON of hype regarding SELVIN YOUNG in the preseason and thru 3 games

7

8 and

11 carries

Is he just not that good or is Shanny saving him for some other reason?

Thoughts on Frank Gore this season - can he finish as the #1 RB this season??

How about Matt Hasselbeck the rest of the way with Engram and Branch returning? Can he be a top 5-8 QB the rest of the season?

I'm lucky enough to have Cutler and Rodgers. They both have the same bye so should I shop one of them or is it too early to put my all my eggs in either one of these baskets?

see what kind of offers you could get, I'm betting there's teams out there that would love to trade with you. Not too early, although I would keep Cutler over Rodgers. Green Bay's defense can actually stop somebody, the Broncos can't. That means more shootouts for Jay.check their fantasy playoff schedules as that should help you make your decision as well!hope this helps!Cec

Nice show guys. I was cracking up about the Rick Neuheisel comments. A friend and I have been joking about the rafting trips for years.
