Live draft vs on line draft (1 Viewer)

I have done live drafts with family and friends for over 20 years. I have never done an on line draft with people I don't know and was thinking of doing one this year with my son to help get him started doing drafts.

Although the leagues I am in are family and friends the drafts are not the right atmosphere for a 10 year old.I told him he could join when he is 16.

I have done a multitude of mock drafts but was curious if you prepare or draft differently when you don't know the other team owners(experience) and are drafting online.

I was thinking FFPC but that seems a little expensive for a 10 year old and was looking for a more classic 13 week season than playoffs.

Which site has the best choices for online leagues that you trust?

I'd do the Yahoo Pro Leagues. MyFantasyLeague also offers a similar product but the competition is probably a little tougher there and I think the site is a little archaic. Your son will like Yahoo better. It's a lot more "fun" of a website and they do some cool things like rank your draft and do weekly recaps that highlight winning teams.

As far as strategy compared to in person drafts, you just need to be on top of the time limits. If you don't get your pick in time, it will autopick for you. It's not like being with family or close friends where if you're a few seconds late it doesn't matter.

Also, do some mock drafts!

Does he have any friends or cousins that he could create a league with?

Even if it is only 8 teams its a starting point.
