THE BIG PICTURE: I am heading to Vegas in September and am looking to keep this league running for the 4th year- it's a private AUCTION league with some guys I have played with or have gotten to know over the years in various fantasy football leagues both LIVE and on the Internet. I want us to be able to "put faces with names" - talk football and have a fun time! This league will consist of 12 franchises. The regular season will start with NFL Week 1 and run through NFL Week 12. There will then be 4 weeks of "playoffs" during NFL Weeks #13 to #16.

DETAILS:

• There will 12 teams in this league. The franchise fee is $750

• There will be 1 divisions of 12 teams each.

• This is a re-auction league - meaning - if we can keep getting to Vegas each year, we will all start with clean slates.

• The league’s website will be run right here on www.myfantasyleague.com

• We will play a 12 week regular season corresponding the NFL Weeks 1-12 (schedule to be determined using www.myfantasyleague.com. NFL Week #13 starts the "playoffs" where there will be a total of 4 teams to make the "playoffs". The first team to make the playoffs will be the team with the best W/L record. The 2nd team to make the "playoffs" will be the team with the most total points scored during the season (that is also NOT the team with the best W/L record. The 3rd team will be the team with the 2nd most total points scored (and not teams 1 or 2) while the 4th and final team to make the playoffs will be the team with the next best W/L record (that is NOT teams 1, 2 or 3) The Fantasy Schedule is posted on the website.

• The franchise fee is $750 – prizes will be shared as follows:

Total Prize Pool = $ 9,000

Less League Expenses (wesbite and suite) = $600

Prizes to Distribute = $ 8,400 (after all EXPENSES - THIS IS 94% PAYBACK!

1st = $4,200

2nd = $2,100

3rd = $1,100

4th = $500

ALSO

The bottom 8 teams get seeded based on W/L and then total points – after the seeding - see the website for how the brackets advance per MFL. The winners of each game will advance to Week 14 – then in Week #15 the 2 remaining teams play to WIN THE LOSERS BRACKET. THE WINNER OF THIS BRACKET WILL GET $500!

THE NITTY GRITTY:

• ROSTER – You must have a total roster of 20 players. The roster can be made up of any configuration you please as long as you meet the minimum roster requirements to field a starting lineup of 10 players. There is a flexible lineup that allows you each week the ability to start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DT/ST and 2 FLEX players (RB, WR or TE)

• THE AUCTION – Each franchise will start with $200 in fictional budget dollars by which to acquire players for their roster. Franchises will be randomly given a nomination order in which they will select players to be nominated from the player pool for auction. We will follow a straight nomination order for all 20 rounds - meaning teams will nominate players from team 1 to team 12 and then start back at team 1 again until all teams have 20 players. Teams will have 30 seconds to nominate players for auction. All players nominated must have a minimum bid is $1 and advances must be made in $1 increments – there are no “cents” in this league. The maximum amount that you can bid on a player is limited to the fact that you MUST be able to spend at least $1 on enough players to have a full roster of 20 players - meaning furthermore that, at the start of the draft, all teams will have a maximum amount to bid on any 1 player of $171 ($200 - $1 x 19). The maximum amount you may bid of course is further reduced as the auction proceeds based on the amount you have spent to acquire players. Bidding will be a "free for all" process where owners may continue to bid on a player until the player is sold - as the frenzy dies down, the facilitator will utilize the old "going once, going twice, SOLD" method of auctioning - once the word "SOLD" is uttered - the auction is considered final and the high bidder wins the player. Should there be a tie in calling out a bid - the facilitator will attempt to identify the first team that called out the bid.

END OF AUCTION / ROSTERS / LINEUPS - When the auction is over and prior to the trash talking starting - the Commissioner will ask all teams to confirm their rosters and, once entered onto the MFL website, set their preliminary lineups should they have players from the Thursday night - September 9th game. After Week #1 - lineups are due by the game time of players!

• FREE AGENTS – Any player who is not on a team roster is considered a free agent.

Free Agent Acquisitions: The free agent system will be a “blind bidding” process. Each team will start with 1,000 free agent “dollars” for the season, and will be permitted to bid for free agents on a weekly basis. No team will be informed of any other team’s free agent bids until after the winning bids have been awarded. The team with the highest bid on any given player will be awarded that player. The amount of the winning bid will be deducted from the winning team’s free agent dollars. For each winning bid, the winning team must drop a player to make roster room for the free agent acquisition. If a team’s free agent dollars go to zero, that team will no longer be allowed to bid for the rest of the season. No bid will be accepted that is larger than a team's free agent dollars. All bids must be in increments of dollars (no cents).

Bidding Time Frame: The bidding process starts after the completion of Week 1 and ends prior to Week 12 on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:00 pm ET. Bids will be accepted on the league web site from Tuesdays at 8 am ET until Thursdays at 11:00 pm ET in each of these weeks. Rosters will be updated by 11:00 pm ET Thursday nights with the results of all successful bids. Free agent bidding will be allowed for all teams still in the playoff hunt or losers bracket hunt!

Conditional Bids: Conditional bids can also be offered. In the event you may lose out on a player, you can place conditional bid(s) for other players during the bidding time frame. The first conditional bid will become relevant only if you lose out on the first bid. Subsequent conditional bids will become relevant only if the previous conditional bid fails. Bids do not require conditional bids. Bids may have several sequential conditional bids, but may not include bidding on the same player more than once.

Number of Bid Limits: There is no limit to the number of bids each week in which bids are permitted.

Tied Bids: If there is a tie, the team that receives the player will be determined in order by:

1. Worst total points.

2. Worst won/lost record.

3. Worst previous week score.

4. Worst QB points total to date.

5. Coin toss.

Available Players: Teams may acquire players not on any roster within their league, with one exception. Players cut from a team after Week 10 may not be re-acquired by any team. This is done to minimize potential collusion.

Trades between managers: To minimize the possibility of collusion, there will be no trading allowed.

Schedule: All teams in the league will play all other teams in once (and 1 other team 1 extra time) over the first 12 weeks of the NFL season (our regular season).

The tiebreakers for the best record in each league after 12 games are:

1. Total points during the regular season

2. Head-to-head won/loss record

3. Total quarterback points (starting QBs week 1 through week 12)

4. Total points in weeks 11 & 12

5. Coin toss

If there is a tie for the highest point leader in a given league, the aforementioned tiebreakers 2- 5 will be used.

"PLAYOFFS" - The 4 teams that make it to the "playoffs" as described earlier will then enter NFL Weeks 13-16 for the "run for the money" as follows:

Each team will begin the "playoffs" with their average point total from the regular season (weeks 1-12). This gives an advantage to the teams that performed best in the regular season. The playoffs will extend five weeks, from NFL Week 13 through NFL Week 16. Prizes winners will be determined based on the basis of total points scored from Week 13 though Week 16 plus their average point total from the regular season.
