KFFL News of NotePolice and Courts: RB Larry JohnsonAssociated Press reports Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson was arrested Monday, Sept. 12, after he was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend early Saturday, Sept. 10, at a Kansas City bar. Police Department spokesman Darin Snapp said Johnson turned himself into police and was cited for domestic abuse assault. He posted bond and was released. A court date has been set for Sept. 20 on the misdemeanor charge. According to the report, Johnson's girlfriend went into a bar and saw Johnson with a different woman. After walking away, Johnson text messaged her and asked her to meet him downstairs where he allegedly grabbed her by the arm and pulled her to the front door. Johnson then asked the manager to make her leave, but the manager said he could not do that. Johnson allegedly became irate after his girlfriend confronted his date, grabbed her by the shoulders and shoved her, which caused her to fall to the floor. The girlfriend told the Kansas City Star the report was wrong and denied she was pushed or dragged to the door. Snapp said the woman told police she did not want him arrested, but wanted the incident documented. The following day, friends convinced the woman to file a police report due to bruised arms.I guess we'll have to wait and see how this one plays out. I wonder if there willbe a suspension involved.

Accuser is likely to recant and make all kissy kissy with LJ.LJ, on the other hand, has shown he is a doofus for barhopping the night before the game. Looks like he will skate on this one, though. They didn't return to his home, at least that night, where he keeps his gun. Seriously.

I apologize for posting this topic when it was apparantly already posted. I should've done a search first and have been here long enough to know that....my mistake. But a great man once said....."Let he who is without sin cast the first stone..."

 
So, now I'm an idiot? I apologized for my mistake and will be more careful next time.But this the only thing I don't like about this site. I've been coming here for years and this was the first time I posted something without searching first. There are a lot of people on this site that seem to get great joy out of ridiculing others for making a mistake. They seem to be just waiting to pounce as soon as they get the chance. Too many people on this site have gotten a "God-like" complex and stick their noses in the air. It never used to be like that back in the cheatsheets.net days. I admitted I was wrong and apologized and I still got piled on and called an idiot. But my question is this: Who's the bigger idiot? The one who made the mistake? Or the ones who chastized him for it?I come here to discuss football and gather as much information as I can to help my fantasy team, not to get into peeing contests with people who like put other people down.

 
Why would I buy a # in the 4000's? If I was going to "buy" a number, don't you think I'd look to buy a single digit number?

I do agree with you to some extent, it's annoying when people have to tear down others. But I think in this case most of the guys are just joking around and having some fun with this thread. Nothing personal or anything. :thumbup:

There are a lot of unhappy people in this world.......no way around it. Thanks for the info threads get buried pretty quick this time of year, your thread was the first I read on it.

:thumbup: This may have been your 1st post without searching - It was also my 1st reply to such a scenario....It's not personal...... BOTTOM LINE - Rarely if ever would an individual need to come here after reading some shocking news in order to Break the story....

Assume it's here or it's going to be here any second and concentrate on the Impact of the story moreso than Reporting it.

I replied cuz I was just in another Thread where people were complaining about the content when it was actually relevent FF talk and not a Honda and then BAM, I see this thread.

And about the number comment - It's not that only new people can be "stupid" or whatever it's just that if you have been here for many years, I'm sure you've seen people get pounced on for not searching or have even been pounced on before.... Yeah, it sounds childish but, hey, I doubt the person who started this thread EVER posts such a thread again - That's constructive.
