Am I crazy, or does this make sense? Westbrook is likely done for an extended period, if not the season. They desperately need a big back. They're a contender in the NFC East.

Thoughts?

What about Atlanta if Turner ends up on IR?
Having just grabbed Snelling and dropping LJ hopefully they won't want a notorious team cancer around the young franchise QB. As an Eagles fan maybe the old Penn State alum wants to come home????

As an Eagles fan, all I want to see is them have a back who can get a freaking yard on 2nd and 1, 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1.This has been a problem for the past oh... 10 years or so.I don't know if LJ has much in the tank, but maybe he can be that guy to get a freaking yard.

Maybe the Colts...Addai is hurt and now Simpson so they are down to Brown. I doubt it but just thought I would throw that out there.

You can not run it 6 times for 3 1/2 quarters and then on a 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 expect to have any chance on making the yard.

They do - he wears #7.

I heard some of the talking heads on NBC say Washington was looking at him.
That actually sounds like it would be a good fit. I'm not sure why since they are probably out of the race, but with Portis maybe being shut down for the year it would make sense if he didn't recomend high $'s. And really they are only 3 games out of 1st.

You're right that they do, but he wears #43.Whoever they have on the team, the problem is more with a lack of commitment to running. If you can establish the run and commit to it, it's easier to rely on it when you need it. They may take a look at LJ if Westbrook's year is actually done but it would be more for depth then anything else. If AR was willing to have a go-to short yardage guy it would be #43.

Right, which is why you get a regular HB in there who can pick up short yardage, instead of having a go-to short yardage guy.Instead they grind in McCoy repeatedly :ptts:

Andy Reid really needs to learn how to RUN THE BALL before bringing in anyone new. Simply because he does not know how to run the ball. He would rather pass the ball. If I was a blind man I could SEE that.

eta: Yes, I think LJ could prosper here in Philly.......not gonna stick my neck out on it though, for obvious reasons posted ^........

Which is why they should use Vick - because AR won't run a classic power run formation. They're deadly afraid of not making it now, and that cost the Eagles the W (quite possibly, can't say for certain). What I do remember is Vick entering in a few games on 3rd and short and running a spread formation, then high-tailing it around the end and out of bounds for 5-7 yards. That's what they should do based on what AR is willing to allow to happen. Power I FB dive ain't happening.
