I see LJ is listed on the injury report and didn't practice yesterday, did I miss something? This is the first I have seen anything about him being injured (or did his mouth get him in trouble)?
Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 26. The team was not sure if he would practice Thursday, Sept. 27. Johnson is expected to play Week 4.
Larry Johnson (hamstring) missed all phases of Chiefs practice Wednesday.
Impact: "I'm not concerned," coach Herm Edwards said. "He's just sore. He should be okay." The Chiefs have been limiting Johnson's practice and game workloads on purpose early this season after heaping an NFL record for carries on him in 2006. So far, it hasn't made a noticeable difference.
Larry Johnson (hamstring) missed practice for the second straight day Thursday.
The Chiefs haven't ruled Larry out for Week 4, but when asked if he thought L.J. would play, coach Herm Edwards responded: "I don’t know that. I would say he is (likely to go)." Michael Bennett would pick up a start if Johnson sits, with rookie Kolby Smith being a candidate for goal-line carries. Sunday's matchup at San Diego makes both backups unattractive fantasy pickups. Chiefs RB Johnson Sits Again
KCChiefs.com - [Full Article]
Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson did not practice for a second straight day on Thursday as he rests his sore hamstring. When asked if his star RB would play on Sunday at San Diego, HC Herman Edwards said: "I don't know that. I would say he is. We don't have to list him until tomorrow. He'll be all right." Michael Bennett and rookie Kolby Smith are the backup RBs.
I read this from an article on Huard from the blogger:
Larry Johnson missed practice for the second straight day because of what the Chiefs said was a sore hamstring. Edwards said Johnson would play Sunday.
“It’s not so bad that he can’t run,” Edwards said. “It’s sore. What we don’t want to do is put him in a position where he really hurts his hamstring.”
It's a different quote and makes me feel a little better about LJ today - aside from the lack of in-game running. Do any homers know if he practiced today?
(KFFL) Adam Teicher, of The Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson (hamstring) participated in practice Friday, Sept. 28. Johnson should be available to play during Week 4.
