You telling me Lloyd goes from #1 in San Fran without even having a QB to Washington with so many weapons and he doesn't excel! He's going to kick ###.

Those acrobatic catches are easier to make in single coverage.

ARE is a far better prospect in my opinion. Lloyd is terrified to go into traffic while Randle El will do anything and everything asked of him by the coaching staff.

Everyone loves Lloyd because of his circus catches, but making the occassional circus catch does not compensate for playing soft.

I honestly don't think either player is going to post very good fantasty numbers, but I do think ARE wins the #2 job in WAS.

Too hard to tell what happens. I'm concerned that they eat into each other's procduction to keep either from being an effective WR2. A WR3-4 maybe but they don't excite me.

None of them is a good second receiver ( Lloyd makes 1 great catch per game but then cant get open the rest of the time ) , El is a marginal receiver ( Way overpaid ) all he has is the ability to throw the ball on a trick play ( and he is a decent returner).

EXACTLY. San Fran last year had a rookie QB looking very lost in the playbook, the O-Line was worse meaning the run wasn't respected much, they had essentially nobody playing TE, and Arnaz Battle isn't going to draw much away. That means Lloyd went through the entire season in double coverage.I see the fact he's no longer the #1 and that there are SO many weapons around him as meaning he'll have his production go up this year. I'm thrilled quite frankly!

Yep, I think Lloyd is the #2 WR there.

Unfortunately Brunell+Moss+Cooley+Portis= not a lot of passes to Lloyd.

I'm thinking the same thing - I see Moss continuing to be the big play guy who'll get his, with Cooley getting most of the underneath/middle of the field opportunities..

See for me, I don't see it as too many weapons = not enough balls going around. I prefer to think that a guy with Lloyd's talent will be able to excel more given that he's got more room to operate, but I can see that point about not enough balls to go around.

El is the classic #3 WR/KR. Not big or strong or polished enough for a #1 or #2 WR, but a very good slot/KR type of player.

The only problem is that El is making #1 money.

I had him and Rothlisberger last year, both on the Pitt roster...hoped maybe Randle El could step up into production the way Burress once did in that WR #2 job. But he never did. So I just kind of lucked (or bad lucked) into having 2 guys that ended up traded to the same team and battling for the same job.
